I read someone used dry ice in their coolers and now I can't find the post again...does anyone else use dry ice in their coolers? How much do you need? Smart & Final sells it by the pound, so how many pounds? I want to get a styrofoam cooler, and im not sure how big it is...probably normal size, like 20-25 quarts? Any tips?

I just got a chunk of it in the bottom of my cooler. About half the size of the bottom. I put ice on top of it, then the goodies, then more ice. The cooler sat out in the sun all day and still had ice the next morning. Folks said to put it at the top of the cooler because cold air sinks, but be careful of handling it when you get stuff out. I just use it in the bottom, serves my purpose.
