Join the Half-Pint Hootenanny MC Hotshot Johnny Gunslinger and Heather Honey Cowgirl Dance-A-Long for a rowdy array of whip stunts, rope tricks, gun slinging, line dancing, relay races, games and contests (with prizes!). On the Half-Pint Stage, you’ll hear great performances from award-winning musicians just perfect to inspire the next generation of country music fans.

The Half-Pint Stage will also be brimming with a family-oriented musical lineup to inspire the next generation of country music fans. And, there's plenty of dancing, games and activities to entertain and amaze. Don’t be surprised if your favorite country star shows up at this stage for an 'up close and personal' set just for the kids!

THE HALF-PINT STAGE

BRADY RYMER & THE LITTLE BAND BAND THAT COULD

Brady Rymer has shared the stage with artists including Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews and Bob Weir among others but becoming a parent changing his touring plans. A nationally recognized kid-favorite, Rymer most recently completed a 12-city sponsored by Children’s Dimetapp. Nashville Parent enthuses, "Think of him as a fun-loving John Mellencamp mixed with a little Dylan for the rebel-rousable kid-sized set."

BUCK HOWDY WITH BB
Nominated for a GRAMMY AWARD (best Musical Album for Children) and listed on NPR's list of TEN BEST kids' CDs of 2007, Buck and BB's brand of Western Swing was a big hit at last year's Stagecoach Festival. You'll be cackling along to their title song, Chickens!

TOM FREUND and FRIENDS

After concluding a summer tour with longtime collaborator Ben Harper and his band the Innocent Criminals, critically hailed singer/songwriter Tom Freund brings his jazzy and rootsy vibe over to the kids' music side.. A sought-out standup bassist, Freund is a favorite of NPR's Weekend Edition and has been championed by Los Angeles' powerful KCRW-FM.

KID FIDDLERS

Kid Fiddlers is the Jackson Family band with five kids ranging in age from 6-17. The Kids all play the fiddle, as well as an amazing assortment of other musical instruments, sing 3-part harmony vocals, and dance. A recent fan said: "If you can sit still during one of their performances, you're probably dead."

CROAKERS YOUTH/FAMILY SQUARE DANCERS CLUB

From 8 to 80, square dancing is a fun way to enjoy spending family time together. This local club (San Dimas, CA) will demonstrate and teach participants how to square off, dosey doe, round your partner with caller Roy Stevenson spinning fancy tunes for everyone to enjoy.

Something is always happening at the Half-Pint Hootenanny! Activities are open all day. In between music and dance performances Hotshot Johnny Gunslinger, Heather Honey Cowgirl Dance-A-Long and Charlee Horse will keep the kids entertained with western stunts, line dancing and cowboy comedy.
