Default What to Bring ~ Essentials

I was just wandering if anyone who was there last year had any ideas or tips of what to bring or not. The essentials, if you will, to give us newbiew some ideas.

    I'm thinking:

    Water! and some Gatorade/Powerade
    Wet Wipes
Toilet seat covers and paper (port-a-potty's are notorious for being dirty and unstocked, especially later in the day)
    Sunscreen
    Lotion
    Comfortable shoes
    Light weight jacket for evening
    Tylenol
Camera and extra cards or film
    Batteries
What's better ~ beach towel or lawn chair?
    Beverages of choice
Ideas for good food choices for first time campers?
    Hat (that breathes)
Washclothes to wet down with water for when/if you get too hot
    Ideas for clothing choices?
Leave jewelry and make-up and purse at home, only need insurance card/I.D.
Small portable First Aid kit with bandaids, ointment, etc.

I have these really cool battery operated fans on a string that I picked up at Wal-Mart for like $3 each. I think they will be coming in very handy!

    What are your thoughts?

OMG, this is great news. Are you saying we can bring coolers??????
I thought it was only lawn chairs/blankets and personal essentials. I didn't know we could bring in snacks. I thought all food had to be bought at the general store/festival. I have 3 grandkids and I was taking out a loan just to cover all the expenses.....! (JK) But seriously, can someone please verify this is true?

You can't bring anything into the festival. You can bring in your own stuff if you are camping or RV'ing.

You can bring in chairs blakets and all the sunblock and other goodies..
Just not food or drinks unless you are camping ..
Thats why camping and being allowed to go back to your campground is so poular.
The best advise I can give is .
For instance PBR starts on Friday at 10am The stage coach doors will not open till 3pm..
If you are tight on a budget maybe pack a cooler for your car. block melts slowest or keep some in the bag on top..
OK back to what and how to plan if you are not camping..
Eat a good breakfast after PBR stop by the car for a good lunch packed in your ice chest...

Then you will only be having to get dinner for the kids if you wait till late to leave or get them a snack and go to IN and Out on the way home...
But remember buying the fun food and tickets at the event is all a part of the fun and the experince...
Remember they do have lockers for rent to place all your valuables and things you do want to lug around...
The Experiences you will have this weekend will be priceless..
So bring a camera even if a disposible...

They just may not allow horses in the festival either.

I dare you to try to ride one in!
