You will love REK! He is a Texas singer/songwriter, and was Lyle Lovett's roommate at Texas A&M. They both have very clever lyrics, though their song styles are pretty different. If you want to get an idea of what his music is like, his biggest hits are "The Road Goes on Forever and the Party Never Ends" (later covered by Willie Nelson and others), and "Merry Christmas from the Family", which is a Texan Christmas Carol of sorts. His most famous song in Texas might well be "This Old Porch," which is a song he and Lyle wrote when they were in college.

We love you, REK! Gig 'em!

REK has a great sound. Saw him at "Billy Bob's" in Ft. Worth and have a lot of his stuff in my collection. If you like his sound, don't miss Pat Green's set while at the festival. Pat and REK are both celebs in Texas with great crowds.

We were lucky enough to see him at last year's Stagecoach. He's really great live. Killer song writer.
