Why is water not allow to be brought in?? May is very hot here in the desert. Most concert venues will allow you to bring in one unopened bottle of water. Otherwise, you are going to have a major problem with falling over, dehydrated fans. Would you consider changing this rule???

here most venues dont allow you to bring in anything. kind of like airports these days. we're trying. in the mean time there are water fountains at least.

My 3 young adult "kids" went to the Coachella Fest last year, and were able to bring in an unopened bottle of water at the same venue. My daughter said she would have been able to bring in her Gatorade, but she had opened it, so they wouldn't let her. Since this is being organized by Goldenvoice, and it's at the same venue, seems like the rules would be the same???

Can the powers that be at least consider selling bottled water? It's just about all I drink these days. Nothing fancy, just plain ol water the way God made it.

It's basically to keep control of drugs and people sneaking alcohol in. It's not that hard to make a bottle look sealed, so they're just doing their best to keep control of the situation.

And the price of a bottle of water???? $3.00?? My daughter said she saw no water fountains within the grounds. Where are they located, as I am familiar with the polo grounds as well.

Water is $2 not $3 and there are fountains brought in for the event and they will be marked on the site map. The map will be posted a few days before the festival and also passed out upon entry.

$2.00 is still a lot to pay for a bottle of water, especially if it is hot and like others have posted, you tend to drink just water. This will be my first time at this fest, and already it is sounding like too many rules..

Just because other music festivals like to gig their attendees on the price of water doesn't make it proper to do so.

In Arizona it is illegal to deny someone adequate access to drinking water.
I just read on Craigslist forum that when they charged $8 a gallon for water at Woodstock they ended up with a riot.
I know that it is the choice of the venue, but I urge them to become more reasonable with this issue to avoid problems.

Of course they can't deny you water. It is not like there will not be water fountains there, it's just you can't bring in your own. So if you want fountain water for free it would be available, if you want ice cold refreshing water you will need to pay the $2.00 - $3.00 for it.
