    Default Friday reserved ticket upgrade

Got both emails today and ordered the upgrade, however with some confusion. I used the link provided and the tickermaster search kept pulling up general admission upgrade only, but charging the reserve upgrade price. After repeated tries I purchased anyway hoping to get the reserve upgrade while I could and hoping the description was just a typo. The printed ticketmaster receipt shows both GA and Reserved mentioned and the reserved upgrade price charged. Anyone else experience this too?

Yes, the same thing happened to me. Worried me a bit . . . . would have much rather seen I was getting the same seats. Sure hope we didn't pay $195 for a GA ticket, as was suggested by the TicketMaster site.

I see. I've reread the email. Here is the "critical" paragraph.

Although we will make our best effort to provide you with the same seat purchased for Saturday and Sunday, there is a possibility that the seat will not be available for Friday's performance. All Gold Circle purchasers will still receive Gold Circle credentials regardless of seat location on Friday. You will be notified of your seat location prior to the event.
    Then this:
To find out how you can purchase EAGLES V.I.P. packages and more, go to Eaglesband.com or click HERE.
If I'm correct, translated, that means: Gold Circle folks as well as the folks who were lucky enough to pull seats in the Reserved Section in the first 20 rows will be getting the big middle finger . . . compliments the Eagles V.I.P. packages. Nice.

I believe both McViper and I were speaking of Reserved seating, which we upgraded for $195.

How about this question: Are we getting reserved section seating or general admission for $195?

    Countrygurl,

Here is the same question again. Last time you directed me to wait for the email. Well I did. It does not answer these questions and now it seems we can't get even close to our gold circle seats without purchasing through the Eagles site. I certainly hope that is not correct.

Does, "or single day reserved upgrades for $195, plus applicable fees" include Gold Circle?

If we have gold circle tickets for Saturday and Sunday can someone else buy our seats for Friday? Do we have different seats? or are we guaranteed the first right of refusal to purchase the additional day or the exclusive right to purchase those tickets and if we don't the seats are empty for Friday?

It was difficult to get the gold circle tickets and we would like to have our seats for all 3 days, but I am concerned if it is again first come first serve we won't be as lucky.

    Thanks

Well I just went on the Eagles site. It will be $795 per seat for me to get a seat in the first 10 rows. I again hope I am wrong. Expletives to follow if not.

I saw the same GA indication on my reserved seating upgrade for four seats. I thought, too, that it had to be wrong. I guess that I assumed (perhaps a big mistake) that I would at least get reserved seating for my $842.00, if not the same seats as Saturday and Sunday.

Can you please clarify whether those of us in "reserved" for Sat/Sun will be sitting somewhere in reserved for Friday? I could have paid a lot less for a GA upgrade if that's not the case!

OK......so excuse me for being cynical or sarcastic, but doesn't it seem like the reserved/gold circle folks are getting the raw end of the deal here??

First of all, we're not guaranteed to get our "same seats"....what does this mean.....for $195 ($390 for both our tickets), I'd like some indication as to where our seats are going to be.

The fact that gold circle and reserved upgrades are the same price lead me to believe that the gold circle folks are definitely giving up their seats to the $795 ticket package people.........so how are they going to make up the additional seating needed to seat the Friday upgrade reserved/gold circle people?? Maybe that's why they made the price so high, so that not everyone would automatically upgrade and they would have some extra Friday seats that way AND still be able to sell their $795 ticket packages.

It seems like we're definitely getting jerked around in this scenario....basically we're at the mercy of ticket demand......and we only have 9 days from the announcement to make the decision.

I thoroughly enjoyed going last year, bought tickets this year during the presale and have been telling all of our friends/family about it (about 15 people are going), but this whole thing has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.......

    Just my $.02

Well since Countrygurl has been silent on the criticism of the additional day (Friday), I can only assume we are correct. Gold Circle is screwed. Unfortunately I don’t know what can be done. I do want Countrygurl and Goldenvoice to know how they have destroyed there credibility with me. I look at this like they have added a band at the beginning of the show and I don’t get to either use or even have availability to my seat. This was sold as a package and I look at it like it is one show over 2 days. Now Goldenvoice has changed the rules and screwed all of Gold Circle and part of the reserved area (as per the Eagles web site). Will Goldenvoice now offer full refunds to those affected?

The $795 charge is a greedy money grab. Certainly the worst of what event organizers and artists represent. We are being screwed, because they can. I like the Eagles, but lets be real, Country, I don’t think so. Money whores, obviously.

Sorry for the rant, but this really pisses me off. Countrygurl (the representative of Goldenvoice) likes to be curt and caddy with her responses to read the web site or email. How about accurate and truthful dissemination of information? Give that a try! This is certainly BS.

Triceratop, your $.02 and my $.02 are right in line w/ each other...

It seems extremely unlikely that Sat/Sun Gold Circle holders will get Gold Circle seats on Friday... those seats will go the $800 packages (rows 1 - 10). And thus the weekend RESERVED ticket holders will be pushed back even further Friday, as they will be displaced by the weekend Gold Circles that are displaced by the $800 packages AND will be FURTHER displaced by the $400 packages as well (rows 11 - 20)... I'm getting dizzy.

Money does talk, doesn't it?! My money is being suspiciously quiet at the moment... ;-) I do like the Eagles; and I love Trisha Yearwood... but not enough to spend eight hundred bucks to "upgrade" two tickets to "downgraded" seats...

I can't get anywhere with TM, they are so stupid. I paid $214 for a GA ticket?? I'm a little confused and glad I'm not the only one. The way I read the email, we will know the seat number prior to the event, like when we get the ticket in the mail? If it is a GA ticket, then we were over charged and hope we get some kind of a refund.

My guess is the promoter will simply enlarge the "Reserved" section to whatever size necessary. In other words, make the corral bigger.

What puzzles me is where it says, "we will make our best effort to provide you with the same seat purchased for Saturday and Sunday." Obviously, the Gold Circle patrons and the folks in the first 20 rows are going to be displaced by the Eagle packages. Therefore, shouldn't ALL the Reserved seating change? Shouldn't everybody be shifted back? I've got seats in the second row of Section 2 and will be mighty pissed to learn I've been moved to the back of the section.

I've been talking directly to Ticketmaster to find out if this is a glitch in their system. They talked to the Stagecoach organizers and found out that even though it says GA, the tickets are in the "reserved" section. When they send out the tickets, we'll know where we will be sitting. I am ticked like everyone else - even if we don't get the same seats for all 3 days, at least we should be allowed to view which ones we would be assigned before purchasing. If I can't see what I'm purchasing, I don't really want to pay the extra $195 bucks per ticket.

Reserved seat ticket holders are offered the chance to upgrade for reserved seats for Friday.

Gold Circle seat ticket holders are also offered the chance to upgrade for reserved seats for Friday at the reserved seat price (not gold circle price). They will still get access to the gold circle vip area.

Though it says GA, the tickets are in the "reserved" section.

In order to secure the Eagles for Friday night we had to allocate their fanclub the premium seats for friday night.
