I'm wondering what prompted all of this. No more than six people, no rentals, no advertisements/logos on canopies. What is all of this about? Are they trying to reduce the number of tickets sold? I don't get it.
I missed SC 2012 and am going through withdrawals. Looking forward to SC13

What the heck is going on? Did something horrible happen last year that I'm not aware of?

Let me be the first of the pissed off festival fans. It's not a music festival if it's only people rich or successful enough to own a RV or stay in an overpriced hotel room! No offense Johnny.... ; )
Agreed. I didn't have an RV before. Now I can't afford the camping.

The crowds werent too bad, but this will definately thin them even more. And I would expect a bigger rush for the tent camping if the only other option is being a registered RV owner with no more than 5 friends and an extra thousand bucks in your bank account by Oct 20th.
i just went threw there whole site regarding camping and it says NO TENT and doesn't look like they will be doing tent camping ether and anyone looking to rv camp must fill out an application for camping. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A SPOT YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A FORMAL APPLICATION PRIOR TO MONDAY, 10/15/12 AT 10AM PST.

I totally agree that it hurts the "little" people as they say, who don't own an RV, especially in these economic times, next best thing is tent camping and now we don't have that option. It hurts us who have 8 or 10 people to help with the costs. Or people that rented out a spot for peoples tents that helped with costs and people who couldn't get a camping spot.......SMH
Wouldn't you rather people not drink and drive???
I am hoping there will be more options after the RV Resort is done selling out.
The Price of the ticket isn't bad considering it includes handling and shipping costs.

I don't even see the RV selling out! I hope it doesn't! I hope they realize then that no one wants to go to a Stagecoach where there's no actual campgrounds. Screw it. Maybe I'll just go to cochella. Doesn't make sense that they still have camping and the country fans have to suffer!

The lineup sucks and all the new rules are terrible. I will be spending my money elsewhere. We will be house boating that same weekend in Lake Powell now. It's a shame that after all these years we will be passing up on SC but, all good things must come to an end.

    My new Craigslist Add....

    Stagecoach RV Rental:

RV Rental for stagecoach 2013.... 28ft Class C Funmover. You ONLY need to pay for the RV spot, gas to and from the event, Four GA tickets for me and my wife and two of my friends, all the food and beer, and $100 cash each day for "festival fun money". You get to sleep on the floor of my RV and use the toilet. You will need to pay for water and pumping fees as well. You will also pay for cleaning fees and need to drive to orange county for pick up. The above costs should be around $3,500 but subject to change. FYI... This is the only way to camp at the festival if you do not own your own RV or go with someone who does... (So basically this is 5 outa 6 of everyone camping) Oh ya.... Please call me before monday to be "considered" as an applicant as this is the only way that i will be going to stagecoach this year. Thank you!
I got laid off when they closed that asbestos factory, and wouldn't you know it, the army cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn't big enough.

I am surprised that nobody has even commented on the fact that anyone that is shuttled in can not go in the RV areas. There will be 2 different wrist bands this year. One for the festival and the other for RV camping.

NO Wrapped / Sponsored Vehicles. Your RV/Trailer/Vehicle will be turned away at the Toll Booth if it has Ads / Marketing / Sponsors / Company Logos on it. No branded / logo'd easy ups or tents allowed.

Are they going to allow the Radio Stations RV's in???

    Did you read the application?

It seems a little intrusive to ask have you or anyone in your party is or has been a felon...lucky as to date not even a parking ticket..I grew up in a goody two shoes era.

Also, you have to submit in 1000 words or less why your application for a Stagecoach RV spot should be considered.

My hubbie and I are sad, we are both retired... and with no break on ADA spots this year as all campgrounds have electric... coming up with the extra $$$ is beyond our reach on such short notice.

We will miss ya'all unless we get lucky enough to win 'em on the radio. Have fun... We'll keep up on everyone's happenings on the Boards. Hope you all had a good summer :-)

We camped in '09 and '10, then missed a couple years. Were looking forward to attending again this year in EDII, but WTF??? $900.00 for the "RV Resort"? (A 20x50 piece of dirt with power for 3 days???) And $250.00/person for the show? No EDII, no portable gensets?

KMA, Golden Voice and City of Indio. We'll keep our hard earned money for something of value...

According to the SC website, the $855 RV fee includes:

    AMENITIES INCLUDE:

    Close proximity to venue entrance
In & Out privileges to/from venue to camping
    Toilets & hand washing stations
24 hour medical & security presence
    Food & beverage vendors
    Internet cafe
    Pedal cabs on site
    Roving camp counselors for questions
Farmers Market selling fresh produce in the mornings
General store filled with almost anything you might need or want
Locksmith on site (additional charges may apply)
Potable Water Trucks (additional charges may apply)
Pumping Trucks (additional charges may apply)
Supermarket Shuttles - If there is something you need missing from the onsite general store or farmers market, hop on our free shuttles to the local supermarket. Fri-Sun 7am-noon.

DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT THERE"S NO MENTION OF PORTABLE SHOWERS?!?!?!? No they jack up the rates, and take away a free service. 6 people x 4 days (showers) = grey tank needing to be emptied at least 2 times. So let's add another $100 to the mix. Thanks alot!!!

This is a shame, my family rents RV's also and since we don't own we miss out! Last year it was because of those that bought spaces by the dozens and sold for a profit and this year because we rent an RV versus owning one! Wow, stagecoach operators.... What happened to Customer service? Manage the problem people versus penalizing everyone for the actions of those that are disrespectful! Our friends and other family that own will be there but we won't AGAIN!

I hope you take the time to reconsider this requirement, the others ID, insurance, limits to alcohol brought In etc are understandable but requiring that all RV's be owned and rentals not allowed seems unreasonable! Talk about discouraging people from coming to this event, I hope you reconsider this based on the comments your reading here from many Stagecoach fans and customers!! I'll stay tuned and hope a revised policy is posted!
