And minor in possesions... I saw two girls getting tickets from Indio PD right in the center isle on saturday around noon, saw them about an hour later at their campsite and asked what the tickets were for... MIP. If people looked too young to be holding a beer im sure they were asked for their ID's.
I got laid off when they closed that asbestos factory, and wouldn't you know it, the army cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn't big enough.

Yeah, we saw some people at the campsite few down from ours getting the same thing, MIP. I'm sure those make up a good majority of the arrests. And again, the arrests are still LESS THAN 1% of the entire population. Those are really low numbers.
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!

A new group of 1%ers. Does that make the rest of us 99%ers? We were camping and some were in tents.

i saw at least 3 rv's in elderado 2 that were kicked out for MIP's. 2 of them got kicked out before concert even started. People just need to be smart. we can all drink and have a good time. if you know alcohol makes you angry than dont gett smashed cuz your going to run into some problems. and minors if your going to be drinking do it on the DL i saw so many that looked questionable walking around drinking. just be smart.

I heard of at least 5 different cases where someone was sexually assaulted that weekend. After the case of the security guard last year, every girl in our campsite was not aloud to go outside of campsite by themselves. regardless if alcohol is being consumed or not people need to be smart. it is never safe to go out alone especially a female. I feel horrible for the people that got assaulted, but people need to be smart. when there's 50k people around you need to be safe.

a ticket for minor in possession is different than an arrest.

yes i am aware of this. you can also be arrested but never taken to the station. you can be cited and released, but can still be considered an arrest.

WOW! I saw something in that little "Welcome" booklet that came with our passes that MIP would result in loss of festival passes and ejection... I didn't think that GV or Indio PD would actually do that. Sure, give them a citation, but flat out ejection? Again, WOW!

That must have REALLY SUCKED to get kicked out before the concert. Must've been a LOOOOOONG weekend for them.

oh ya. if a couple were walking around probably just get a citation. but if there's a whole group of them drinking at one spot they got the boot. staff said this year was the most they had ever kicked people out.

We have all tried to sneak alcohol drinks before we turned 21.

But, if word gets out that Stagecoach is serious about catching and kicking out underage drinkers that would make people think twice about trying to do it.

I didn't have the proper ID wristband on Saturday and they wouldn't serve me. They told me they got busted and couldn't no matter how old I am.

Well, to be honest, I think it's a good thing. Kind of a 'live and learn' lesson. Maybe they'll think twice next time and not be so carefree about itand be more careful not to get caught.

This is why I only went to the bathroom by myself when I was looking SUPER jacked up, no make-up, pajamas, hair a mess. Hell, I wouldn't even have touched myself!

Totally! I had the wrong ID band Saturday too and the people at the beer stand made me give the beer I already had in my hand (previous purchase) to Nick because he had his ID.

I think some regulations on all will deter many people from going. I know a lot of people that bought tickets and went just to drink the whole time and party. I mean dont get me wrong Im there to party also, but i also go for the music. I think it will just weed out those people that are strictly there to drink.

I'm one of the ones who go to party. I go for the atmosphere. Heck, we ALL buy our tickets before knowing what artists will play. That says that MOST buy it for the weekend experience and NOT the artists. Sure, that's an added bonus, but since I only see the performer from a screen, it could be a video of them for all I care. I'm drinking, dancing, and having fun with my friends.

I go for both. However, I will go regardless of who's playing. I do like to see the actual performer on stage though. Even if they are only the size of a pea from where we are. But at least I see the real person. I'm weird that way.
