Default VIP Parking - SHAFT ??

So is anyone else starting to get the feeling that those of us who spent $100 are getting the SERIOUS SHAFT ???? From what I remember, there was wording indicating that for VIP Parking we were getting to park "closer to the venue" and had a private entrance. Well, now that MAPS are finally posted, and knowing that those cute little picture maps are not 100% to scale, but knowing the general lay of the land and previous experience, that VIP lot is NOT closer than a couple of the General Day Lots. And from the Venue Map, there looks like there is an Exit over behind the big BEER Garden straight back from stage, but does not say Entrance. Was also one map that had VIP Parking next to this spot. I know in my materials, I got that cute little VIP sticker, but nothing telling me about an entrance, etc.

Sooooo, I e-mail Goldenvoice and get a response that says "you would walk the vip path. its not that much closer"..... seriously, folks in the office got JOKES !!! Attached is a link to another one of their cute little maps and this one has one of those little Green Flaggies over on the North side of field, right there at the end of the VIP Path. I'm thinking cool, but this is the only Map that has that spot shown though..... hmmmm , so just starting my venting and wondering if the rest of you VIP Parking folks are beginning to think we may have gotten the usual shaft..... anyone else talk to GV and get any different answers or info ?

2013-parking-map_original.jpgSee the VIP parking area in Teal and see the VIP arrow path in Teal going directly into the polo fields. THAT is the VIP entrance and exit. No waiting in GA lines for VIP parkers. SOOOOOO worth 100.00

That is why I posted the question.... missed last year, been here EVERY other YEAR and this was not an option. The map you posted above and also the same one sent to me by e-mail yesterday and is the Parking Map shows that little flaggie...... however was just concerned as Venue Map and Map on IPhone App clearly DO NOT show an Entrance/Exit where that little green flaggie resides..... only Exit near there is back behind the Bar. I can only process the info I am given... cuz I'm just a simple man.

Hoping you are right. If you ARE, HELL YA I'm shakin' hands on the way thru that gate and praising GV. Worth the $100 fer sure !!! But given I got some history here at this event, tomorrow will tell me.... hahahahaha

OK, so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, having been to EVERY Stagecoach (except last year), I love the event, but there is always something. Well here it is ---- VIP Parking is a Farse and Goldenvoice should be absolutely ASHAMED to have ripped off people in this manner. YES, I will be drafting a letter directly to them as well, but want EVERYONE to know coming from a veteran Stagecoacher. VIP Parking --- Friday night I got there in the evening, was promptly told to go to the left as this LOT was FULL and escorted to the end of DAY Parking ----- Excuse ME !!! I paid $100 for a spot and you are full and I get to park in the same lot that is FREE ?????

VIP Parking was NOT closer to the venue, although, if you were in the very front row of VIP, it was 45-50 steps closer than the Day Parking at most. Basically parallel to Day parking. You then got to venture all the way to the normal entrance for everyone on the North side of the venue, so no "special" VIP Entrance.

SAT / SUN got there before show and woo hoo, actually got to park in the VIP lot. Still, not necessarily closer to the venue than the Day Parking Lot although there were 4-6 rows I think, so maybe they can claim you were that much closer, but then again, if you walked down the path in front of VIP, you had to walk back 25 yards to get into the general admission line.

MORAL ---- it is a FARSE for them to have Charged $100 for a VIP Lot that is right next to Day Parking which is $ 000 . NEVER, EVER, EVER again.

Yes, we paid $100 for what???? Day Parking had the same walk that we did, as they were right next to us....Then on Saturday and Sunday they wouldn't let us in the gate until noon, but let the other Gates in at 10 & 11 to the "Lobby." They told us we could walk all the way around if we wanted to get in that early. Which doesn't seem fair at all...they said the guys at the gate didn't want to walk us in because it was to much walking for them. I have been every year and thought that paying for VIP Parking would be worth it because we always get there early and they made us park in the back and had such a walk. The walk wasn't bad this time, but not letting us in like they did the other gates was not fair at all because we weren't able to get good seats, because of this. Goldenvoice, please fix this for next year.....

GPS ---- your a TOOL !!! but whatever, I used it wrong, everyone got my point.... slang is a part of everyone's everyday language..

Definition of FARSE per Webster : (You know them, right)
    transitive verb
: to amplify (a liturgical formula) by interpolation : insert a farse in; also : to interpolate (a farse)
