Early Arrivals Parking Question

CountryGirl, Last year we arrived early on Fri. We were waiting at the gate when it opened. We THOUGHT by arriving early Fri. we could pick out a nice spot CLOSE to the entrance. We were WRONG! We were directed to the furthest corner
Now what is the policy for this year?????????

Lets say we're the 1st ones in the gate. Can we park where we want, or are we going to be told where to park? It SHOULD be 1st come 1st served.

Please make this very clear, as it would not be worth the effort to get in early.
Let me put it another way, How can I ensure that I get a spot near the entrance?

Hey Hot Rod.. I don't remember it saying anywhere that you could pick spots last year, but sorry for the confusion. I asked around here what the plan was for 2008 and was told they would let early bird campers (starting when camping opens in the morning) pick their own spots (in each of the campgrounds) up until about 5pm on Thursday. After that it will have to be assigned spots as people arrive to maintain organization and order.

In El Dorado 1, The closest spots are reserved for handicap so you cant just park there unless you have the legal placard. The spots for people who purchased electrical hook ups are the next ones. Then the rest after.

I see the "subject to change" clause, so I'm sure it will probably change again as the event get's closer.

Hmmmm, yep, that's what it says now.... oh well, no skin off my teeth, couldn't make it out 'til Friday anyhow, but I'm sure there are some (many) that were looking forward to the "early" festivities.

I have rented an RV that will be delivered and set up on Thursday or Friday morning before we arrive. What documents will be needed by the company delivering and parking the RV for us? I have Dorado 1 RV parking with electric hook up.

Countrygirl....Last year if you were arriving on Friday, you could give a friend that arrived before you all your paperwork to save you a camping place next to them. Then they had to meet you at the gate with the paperwork when you arrived and they could take you to your saved spot.
Can we do this again this year, say if you arrive prior to 2 pm?

Hey Countrygurl. They didn't oversell the electrical hookups did they? We purchased ours as soon as they went on sale, but may not be able to leave til after work on Thursday. We will get our hook up no matter what time/day we show up, right?

If you have an rv camping ticket in eldorado 1 and an electrical hook up ticket, you will get a space with electrical hook up.

This is a girl trip and we have camping passes but my husband doesn't. can he drive the trailer into the camping area and set it up for us, and then leave?
