They do go into your RV and check around. Some of the security do a real thorough check and others just glance in so it really is a crap shoot who you get.

DO NOT BRING GLASS, that is the best way to get in the RV area and festival!!!!!The fields are used for polo and other events and this is why they say no glass so that the horses and children of other events wont get a piece of glass in them.

As far as hiding stuff just use the "Search" tab above and look. There are plenty of threads about it.

Most "Hard Alcohol" can be bought in plastic these days If you are thinking bottle beer then the best place to hide it is under the bed covered with folded blankets, etc
    GUN POWDER & LEAD

First time car camping at Stagecoach and have a question for all you pros at this. How thoroughly do they check your ice chest? Going to have a fairly large one and was thinking of spreading beer out on the bottom and then adding ice to cover it and then have the soda, water, food, etc. on top of that. Since this is a really large ice chest I'm thinking I could maybe get a case and a half if not two in it with lots of ice over it. Then of course I can have the two cases coming in my car plus the plastic bottles of liquor. Also my daughter is being dropped off the next morning by her bf and she wants to bring in beer and liquor but can she? Sorry for the long question but want all my ducks in a row beforehand. Thanks!

I don't think you really need to hide anything. You're allowed 2 cases (36 packs are ok) of beer or bottles of liquor per person over 21. As long as there's no glass, you should be ok.
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!

I'm a little freaked out by what everyone is saying about them checking your stuff. Are they going to sit and go through all your bags and stuff?

Why freaked out?? Just dont bring anything that isnt allowed and you are fine. They usually will not go through you bags unless you are in tent camping.. In the other areas they will just sweep the RV and vehicle real quick. Like stated above its a 50/50 what type of search you will get.
