there is an Indian casino w/ hotel , Fantasy Srpings Resort, about 10-15 mins away, I think , rates should be around $100-150 a nite, but check, hopefully they don't jack up the price.

motel 6 right at the 10 and washington, about 9 miles away. i am staying there for coachella this year and stagecoach, if i decide against paying for an rv rental. the best part? $70/night! it's seriously an easy drive, too. who needs a nice place, you seriously only spend a few hours sleeping there anyways.

go to motel 6 and look up motel #104

my advice is to book immediately before the place fills up, they don't charge your card until the check in date anyways.

Just don't leave valuables in your room unattended, or in your car at night. The Motel 6's here are notorious for robberies. I have stayed at the Motel 6's here before moving to Palm Springs, and never had a problems. But with druggies & hookers & illegals in the area, just be aware. Motel 6 is a great value for the money. You may want to stay in the ones in Palm Springs. They are a bit farther, but the neighborhoods are nicer.

My advice would be if you had to choose, go with the motel 6 on washington st. It's cleaner, nicer, and you don't have to keep an eye on your car every waking minute. I live around here, and if I had to choose I'd go with the Washington St Motel 6. The Indio one shouldn't be allowed to charge over $39 bucks a nite... Sorry just my humble opinion

Last year my sister & I discovered the hotels around, at least Holiday Inn, raised the price considerably for the weekend of Stagecoach. We decided to "rough it" and camp there.. It ended up being the best thing ever!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I made another reservation at #104, but kept the one at #313 also, in case things get tight, and someone needs a room.
I'm going to be in Laughlin,NV over the next 5 days, and will probably make a drive over to check things out. Thanks again!

Not at All! Just a roadtrip. Enjoy the desert, do Joshua Tree, Palm Springs area. Weather's a lot better than back East.

oh Thom dear. I suppose a prom queen has a problem in a tent but now days they make the rv's real pretty w/ mirrors in the bathrooms and plug ins for the curling irons.

you see, even prom queens can rough it when it comes to country music!

Just my 2 cents I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Indio right by Fantasy Springs for business trips (Spent a total of 6 weeks there). The staff is always nice. They remodeled all the rooms about a year and a half ago. Luckily I just build a house in the Cabazon/Whitewater area so this year I will be a lot closer than last year (Laguna Hills).
