just make sure you lock it up... if it is left unlocked some one who drank to much will think it will be fun to ride!... every year people loose there beach cruisers! but they are fun to have there...

I've always wanted to bring mine but I've hear A LOT of stories of bikes being stolen. Walking sucks by the 3rd day but a little exercise (to work off those beers) is better than losing my bike!

My guess, the more people in your camp site, the safer the bikes are. You can always lock the bikes to the truck somehow...

We had our bikes last year. We stayed in a motel, had our bikes on a car carrier and parked on the companion lot. It was great riding our bikes to all the different areas. It's lots of fun being able to cover so much territory. the walking can be brutal.
    The downside......
We always had to remember when we parked them..... lock them.
We had lights....a must at night.
We had to put them back on the car carrier when we were done and they went everywhere the car did, kind of a hassle.

We're still deciding about bringing them again this year.

    Bring bikes!!!

the reason they get stolen is because some drunk left his at home and is tired of walking so he took your bike because IT WAS UNLOCKED and then rode it to where he was going. I don't think I've heard of any locks being broke to take bikes. I just think its more of a joy ride thing.

I bought me a used Auto-bike to take. It belonged to my stepson and has been in the garage for years. Hope it's still in good shape. My only concern is if my feet will reach the ground when I'm on it. DUH! Being short sucks sometimes.

I know how you feel. Just took our beach cruisers to March Meets a bit back and I have to jump from my seat to touch the ground.

Well, I reckon I'd better take it out of the garage and give it a looksee. I'll be bummed if I don't reach.

We bring our bikes each year. Haven't had any trouble but we lock them up while we are at the show and at night. BRING THEM!!! You will be bummed if you don't.

Reed, I am sure it is. As long as you have your wristband on to get back in.

It is also very entertaining to watch the drunks on bikes. We saw one poor guy break his nose but didn't spill his beer!!! Here is a hint.... you are not 12 years old and can't do the jumps, wheelies and other tricks you use to back in the day on your bmx. You are on a beach CRUISER....it is for cruising.

My kids bring their bikes but I have to be sure not to ride them after drinking because they are fixies and have no brakes. Yes I am that good mom that lets their kids ride bikes without brakes. Again, entertainment.

LOL, as long as you can reach the pedals, you should be fine. I don't reach the ground from the seat of any bike I own

We're bringing (my BF and I) our tandem beach cruiser. Which might make it really hard if only one of us want to ride somewhere. I think I'll have him bring his regular beach cruiser as well so we have our bases covered.
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!

Glad I'm not the only one who can't reach the ground.

But, Chevgirl, should we be concerned if we see a tandem beach cruiser cruising around with no passenger? Your bf won't be drinking and pedaling, will he? Don't want him to lose his passenger!!

LOL, more like he's my chauffer! Whenever we ride it, he sits in front and steers (I've tried twice, he's a lot better at it!) and I sit in back and help pedal. Sometimes. Mostly when he looks back.
