That's right. Just car camping. You are fine with a Class C in ED1
SC 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 AND 2013! -- Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Ahhhh! LOL ya'll are making me go grey prematurely! CAR camping has regulations on what you can and cannot park in your spot. Which is why I asked if the pop up is going in car camping as I believe I read they are not allowed. Totally fine for RV lots.

Also, Stagecoach and Coachella have separate rules. Very separate. So what applies for Coachella (i.e., no hard liquor) does NOT apply for Stagecoach. Also, in the past, most of the personnel are volunteers. In the past (I don't know if this is standard for this year) they have people who want to attend Coachella for free work at Stagecoach and vice versa. But again, either way, they are a different set of rules.
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!

The rules are definitely separate, no question. The point is that if you are breaking any one of those "separate" rules (i.e. more alcohol than each person is allowed, or glass, etc.), it is definitely possible your car will be thoroughly searched and you might be caught. It's a gamble.

I was mainly asking because I'm tent camping and I'm pretty sure my car will jam packed with everyone's stuff since we are all riding together and didnt want to have to unpack everything to repack it again. Or do they search when your already set up? Which would be a million times better in my opinion.

If you're TENT camping, you'll have to unpack your car anyhow and carry everything in (I recommend a wagon). They don't search very heavily when carrying items in. If you're CAR camping, I highly doubt they will rip through everyone's entire car. they may glance around.

Oh and no, they won't search you once you setup, they're not that militant.

I thought they searched pretty thorough, although some compartments inside can't be opened without putting out your slideouts...Hint Hint

I don't understand what everyone needs to hide though. They're pretty lax about alcohol as long as you don't have glass. So put your liquor into plastic containers. nothin to worry about!
