Stayed at a hotel in Palm Springs for the 07 StageCoach.... CONSIDERING doing tent camping for 08 - can anyone who tented it last time give me their opinions on how it was organized? Was there an insane wait for showers, etc? I'll be browsing threads from before to see what feedback I can find as well - THANKS in advance!

I camped (tent, not RV) last year and had an absolute BLAST! I wouldn't even think of staying in a hotel... too much partying to miss out on. Last year went surprisingly smooth, considering it was the first run. The shower lines built up at times, but there was always a way around it (ie- people would wait in line for 10 mins rather than walking to the shower that was further away but had no line). But no major frustrations that I can remember. And they're reorganizing camping this year, so I'm sure it'll be even better.

My question for Countrygurl: I will be tent camping again. Are tents restricted to the Forum, or can we stay in El Dorado 2?

Tent camping is in the forum. You may still wonder around to any of the other campgrounds though. Just sleeping in the tent part will be in the forum.

Camping last year was kick ass. I had one of the best weekends of my entire life.Everyone and everything was COOL.

First off, camping last year was OFF THE CHARTS FUN!!! I went by myself and met so many great and friendly people. I made new friends instantly! But I have a question regarding purchasing passes this year. By looking at the Stagecoach site, if I am by myself, and all I want is to camp in the tent Forum, all it should cost me above my ticket price is $50. But, I just purchased my tix on Ticketbastard and they were requiring me to purchase camping passes twice, as if I had to pay for my tent space as well as a camping pass, totaling $100 not including the "convenience charge". I get it with charging for an RV plus the camper, but for a tent? Just want to have my info correct before I have to call the Ticketbastard folks and get it straightened out. Looking forward to a kickass weekend AGAIN!!!

That's weird Honky. I just went and tested it myself. I selected 1 camping ticket for the forum and 2 GA tickets to see how the order would turn out and everything worked correctly. My order showed only 1 camping ticket. Hope you didnt hit (2) on the drop down menu by mistake.

stagecoach was also lucky last year to have some decent weather. just wait if it's triple digits this upcoming year. waking up in a tent at 7am and having it turn into an oven doesn't sound fun to me. even coachella the week before was pretty damn hot. the clouds at stagecoach on saturday were such a welcome respite.

No, I didn't select 2, they asked me twice and I selected 1 both times!!! On one page it asked me to select what tickets I was looking for and it listed all festival and camping/RV options...so I selected GA and Tent forum. (at this time they did not ask for quantity) The next page asked me how many GA tix, then the next page asked how many forum passes, on both I selected 1. Then it asked me again how many camping passes, and I left it at 0 cuz I thought I already selected 1 but it wouldn't let me pass the page without selecting a quantity. And next thing you know, I get my receipt and I have 2 camping passes!!! Looks like Ticketbastard hosed me again. Last year they told me they sent me my tickets and it wasn't their problem they were lost in the mail when it turns out they NEVER EVEN PRINTED THE FRICKIN TICKETS!!! So basically they are a bunch of liars....BASTARDS!! Buyer BEWARE! But thanks for checking, Countrygurl!
