    God bless this man!
I got laid off when they closed that asbestos factory, and wouldn't you know it, the army cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn't big enough.

....Your car battery will indicate Amp Hours because those batteries are made for Cranking Amps (like the difference between a cheetah and a turtle, one is built for short burst of energy, the other for the long haul) You really need a deep cycle battery. YOur car battery will ony run the lights for a short period of time before you have to recharge it.

I suggest buying a deep cycle battery and returning it when your done (try wallmart or costco, or somewhere that has a great return policy). YOu can also get a small photo cel solar chager for $50 that can charge your battery all day and you can run it all night. (http://www.amazon.com/Sunforce-50022...2801484&sr=1-2) Or just hook up jumper cables and run your car/truck for about an hour.

Or you can even drag that big ass battery over to my spot in ED1 in the morning and i will charge it for you with my trickle charger (now how about them apples) I will only charge you $800 for the electricity and $45 service charge! (just kidding, detailed directions of how you built this table will work for me)

Ya i couldnt get into the battery area quickly and I took a break from work to take a look. Just looked at the top of it. Imma look at it tonight though and see what the Amp Hours are on my battery.

I was able to find some things online about the battery tho...it does have a 140 minute reserve...i was just checking out a duralast deep cycle....also has a 140 minute reserve....

The sad thing is about those plans...lol. I work for an architectural firm (training to become an architect one day haha) and I use AutoCAD daily...i have the plans drafted up in AutoCAD....lol

just did some research....you can pretty much take the reserve capacity and divide it by two and get your Amp Hours...so if i have 140 reserve capacity...that gives me 70 amp hours (ill confirm later)

Now the lights are 24 watts per string and I have 2 strings on the table...to convert it into amps.... (24 X 2)/120 = .4 amps....

so if I have 70 amp hours and the lights are drawing .4 amps...(70/.4) = 175 hours....am I doing that right? haha.

Your pretty close... except your gunna loose some eficiency in your extension cords, adaptors, inverters, and charge capacity of the battery.

The battery you show on your other post you can find a lot cheaper on EBAY. I use those batteries for my kids Power Wheels... Look here for a veriety of batteries for as cheap as i can find them. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Battery-G...=p4634.c0.m322

Then you will need a 12v battery charger (try wallmart in the auto section for a $20 one) I suggest you dry run the lights at your house and see how long they run on one battery. You might need another battery, or need to charge it some time during the weekend.

Remember, if you plan to have electricity around "fluids", make sure you install some sort of safety protection. An inline 30amp fuse on the hot side before your inverter should work (and bring extra fuses incase you have a few accidents)

Please keep us posted how this turns out. I might be in the market to make one similar to this.

Can you post a picture of your AutoCad rendering? Would love to see that!

Also, where did you get the LED rope light?

LOL, you guys are speaking a foreign language. I found myself barely skimming and just kind of zoning out. Sort of like I do when my boyfriend starts talking about cars and super chargers and horsepower.

My sentiment exactly girl. 'If you hook that K9er up to the 530 K double wouble power extentions you get a 9er 2 wammie tammie.' That's pretty close to what I read.

That beer bong table looks like it's from the future. I like the bag toss idea. So rodeo/town carnival of you

PS- Creepily clicked on facebook link in signature t24 and you're friends with a childhood friend of mine! Man this world is small!

Daddy cried when he saw my tatoo,
    Said he loves me anyway.
My brother got the brains of the family,
So I thought I'd learn to sing.

First of all.... The Creep vibe is strong with you Keebz. Second, I need to find that wammie tammie to power my flux capacitor.

Also, where did you get the LED rope light?
ya, there will be some resistance. If i go the small 12V batteries I can buy 2 or 3. and charge them up as they die and rotate them out. I used to use them on my fishing kayak for a fish finder.

Ya i actually saw this video on youtube yesterday...thinking about building it. and storing the batteries inside....i could put like 2 or 3 of the smaller batteries in it and always have a power pack! would be great for like the beach and stuff.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Tf3f...ure=plpp_video

Ill post up the PDF or sheet that I created to print and show ya it. some of the stuff ive changed on the fly when I was working on it and the table legs arent shown.

I got the LED rope light at Hope Depot. (2) 13'6" LED ropelights by Hampton Bay. LED for the lower energy usage. They were $30 bucks each. You have to look at the rope lights tho. There are 2 different blub orientations that theu use when the make them....one is where the bulbs are mounted horizontally, and one vertically. you want the vertically mounted ones because the light looks even. I used some horizontal ones at first....it didnt look right because the lights would be brighter from one side because they were pointed a certain direction rather than straight up and down.

I actually had dreams last night of beer pong tables... Yes, Im completly sick in the head! Since I finished my other stagecoach project early, I was left with no major stay up late night and spend a bunch of money on more worthless projects for stagecoach.... UNTIL NOW! Thanks for the ispiration T24mog!!!

(PS - dont tell my wife who you are, she might want to punch you in the face by the time stagecoach gets here)

Ohhh and also.... probably too late for this, but you could go with 12v LED lights and completely eliminate the need for an inverter. Just monday morning quarterback thoughts.
