    Default Stage Value

Overall this festival will definitely rank at the top per Country/Folk/Alt 2007 shows. For tru value I believe the Palomino and Appaloosa stages will provide the most value for ones entertainment and buck. Sorry to not see Old Crow Medicine Show gracing the Pal or App stage.....YET!

Don't get me wrong...George, Brooks & Dunn, AJ, etc. speak for themselves...but those not familiar with many of the Pal and App stage artists may want to experience some of their sounds before the show....you'll be pleasantly surprised!!!

    The Big Lebowski.

I once saw JDG in a club where there were about 5 people in the audience. It was weird and more than a little uncomfortable.

Damn, I've watched the Big Lebowski over a hundred times, and I never knew that.

I'm looking foward to hearing some real country western for a change. Don't get me wrong, I like most of what I hear on the radio. But I know there are others out there that are not in the mainstream of top 40 who sing great country western. I'm looking forward to them.

Look at the number of artists on the Pal and App stages influenced by the late great Townes Van Zandt. Only the greatest songwriter of our time.

Don Edwards played Smokey in the Horse Whisperer. Don is the King of the Cowboys, I'm so glad to see him on the list of performers. Check out Don's web site www.donedwardsmusic.com

Will James wrote and illustrated SMOKY THE COWHORSE. Unfortunately Will James is unable to play Stagecoach as he died well over 50 years ago.

About Townes, you are absolutely correct. What an outstanding songwriter. I could write songs my whole gawd-dammed life and still never come up with something half as nice as Pancho and Lefty or countless others.

Good to see a fellow TVZ fan.

Do you like John Prine too?

    willie and others;

How could you not enjoy a storyteller like John Prine?

If you haven't already; get your hands on..BE HERE TO LOVE ME: A FILM ABOUT TOWNES VAN ZANDT

also a new book will arrive the beginning of March; TO LIVE'S TO FLY: THE BALLAD OF THE LATE, GREAT TVZ. I'll definitely preorder at Amazon.

The Guy Clark and Steve Earle interviews in BE HERE TO LOVE ME are amazing!!

Willie you should contact Pappy and Harriet's Pioneertown Palace to book a gig. They have a great venue for the honky-tonk and alt-country talent.

I believe they have a myspace site!!

keep the peace brothers and sisters!!!
