We are headed up from San diego and would be in the vicinity of Morongo at 10am. Only one amongst our friends who scored a spot this year. Would the board mind if we met up as well and joined the camp group in ED2? Thanks!!
No problem! Meeting up I mean....even though you won't be Car Camping. The more the merrier! I'm sure everyone will agree! Woooohoooo it's happening people, we're getting down to the wire!
So glad that I found this message board! Ha. I am just counting down the days now! Is it really as hot all day as everyone says it is? Or are there good places to cool off?
It's really hot all day. The only time it really bothers me is when I first wake up after like 2 or 3 hours of sleep and the tent just holds the heat in as you're sweating like crazy and an awful combination of horribly hungover and still drunk. The trick is to get up, chug a bottle of water, chug a beer, take a shower, and then get back to drinking hardcore with breakfast.
I want to rock and roll all night...and part of everyday
This is no joke the best advice anyone can give you. Stay buzzed (or more) the whole weekend, no hangover, no getting sick. You may or may not feel like death on the drive home but at least you know you lived! haha.
Seriously though, yes - very hot and sunny. Im trying to find an easy up for camping as we speak. Definitely recommend tons of sunscreen and water.

YES! Super hot during the day (lot's of bikini top clad girls), and really cold at night. Bring a backpack to take into the festival. I bring in pants and a sweater for night time, otherwise you'll be begging to borrow blankets and towels to wrap up in! Only 1 night in several years hasn't been cold in the festival. Lots of sunscreen (I'm sunscreen police lol) during the day, and bring a couple cases of water with you (most of us bring to share).
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!
cant wait!
thanks for the tips!
I am also going to leave thursday morning from Cypress with my daughter. I would like to meet up with as many people as we can along the way. My name is Dave.
I forgot how cool we all are.... :-)
We are coming from Temecula area and would love to meet up and caravan with you all! this is our first year so it wouldnt hurt to get tips from the pros! We are currently trying to get in with someone who has room for a tent for 2 people and i am hoping we do because you guys sound like a ton of fun to party with! also, are easy ups allowed? we have a big one and Im wondering if i can get my husband to attach misters to it that can run off a bucket of water...it sounds like its going to be pretty hot! I hope to see you all at Stagecoach, we can not wait!!
Here is a good thread from the Coachella board about misters... Ive started one already and it works well....

I got laid off when they closed that asbestos factory, and wouldn't you know it, the army cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn't big enough.
Yes, EZ ups are allowed in camping.

EZ Ups are allowed, but good luck finding space to put it if you're looking to share a camping spot with other people

hey Chevgirl, mind if i come and hang with you guys too?? i had plans with my friends to go to Stagecoach, i got in and got my tickets but they sold out before my friends could get theirs, so now it looks like i am going solo. I've already got an off-site camping spot so i'm set that way, i just would like to have people to hang out with during the day at the Empire Polo Field so i don't feel QUITE so alone......
you can PM me with all the details or you can reach me via email at frackstoy@yahoo.com if this is okay with you and you can take one more!!!! i don't check in here all that often.....
