April 27-29, 2012 (3 days). Cost is TBD, but I'm expecting anything in the $100-130 range for general admission.

My guess would be closer to $150-$200. It's been $100-$150 for two days the past couple of years.

These are bottom of the lineup, small print, as far to the side of the stage guys as you can get. Wish there were some bigger names out there.

The Indio City Council voted 3 to 1 to delay approval of the two-year contract with Goldenvoice, the promoter of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Festival. The delay was out of courtesy to La Quinta officials that voiced concern on Tuesday. Before the vote tonight, Indio City Council members were handed two letters,one signed by La Quinta Mayor Don Adolph and one... signed by La Quinta City Manager Thomas Genovese,requesting they hold off on approval of the contract for 30 days. According to the letters, the delay would allow both cities and the promoter time to address resident concerns and address the need for an environmental study to gauge such impacts as noise, pollution and traffic. Indio City Manager Dan Martinez said the City Council could not wait a month because of financial obligations and deadlines the promoter has to meet. The new contract also includes an extra day of Stagecoach — planned now for April 27-29.

The La Quinta City Council decides this afternoon it supports Indio's new contract with the promoter of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival after initially questioning whether the annual music festival, which has been expanded, will cause problems for La Quinta residents.

According to 106.1 (the desert country station) the lineup comes out tomorrow. A cording to my source, the headliners are Brad Paisley, Alabama,Kenny Rodgers, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, and Martina McBride. And they confirmed it will be 3 days!!!

Not bad.. Brad and Alabama make sense, Blake and Miranda make sense, Luke is one of my fav's too. Would love to see all of them again.
One of our local stations, KFROG said they had the scoop this morning.. but turns out they were yanking our chain. Scott and Tommy (morning DJ's) are jerks anyway. Official announcment will be tomorrow..GOCountry is much more reputable anyway.
