I didn't watch a single act on the main stage, and I still think it was worth my money. And between the other three stages, I didn't have any empty time during the day. In fact, I had to miss a few acts I wanted to see because of the overlap with others. Anyone who skipped Neko Case to watch Kenny Chesney missed out on one of the greatest voices in country music today.

I just don't know how anybody can ever say it was too expensive!! Even if you only saw the (5) headliners a day, if you tried to go to 5 of those concerts at say low price $50 a per person times 2 days, that's a 1000 bucks. Not including parking, which was free and for the number of people basically hassle free. But most venues charge ridiculous parking fees. As far as the camping area goes again a huge bargain, even if you do the VIP Rv hook ups. $165 for hook ups, $100 for (2) camping passes, still cheaper than (3) nights in a hotel and you can just walk through the gate and even bring your own food and walk back for meals if necessary. Gas prices suck, no way around it, but if you spend time driving back and forth to the local arena/fairgrounds, you'd probably end up ahead driving to the desert and home. The shows overlapped plenty to get to see all of one and catch a bit of another, so you don't need 8 eyes. Stagecoach was awesome and had

I would have to agree! Bargain! Could not have possibly seen all those acts for that price. Seven of us stayed in a motorhome onsite, again worth it! We did most of our eating at the motorhome, hydrated at the motorhome and escaped the heat at the motorhome! I spent most of my money on shirts! Except for the 4 CMT TOP COWBOY shirts that my guy won. LOL We are all in again for next year, BRING IT ON!

ok, we went with my sister and her husband. we took the rv and got there friday and stayed until monday. i won my set of tickets, so we split the cost of 2 more plus the camping. let me just say, we had the most unbeleiveable time!!! we attend many concerts throughout the year and this was amazing!!! i think the cost, for what we got, was very reasonable. we are definately doing it again next year only we plan on going gold for the 4 of us plus we'll get the electrical hookups. let me just say with regards to the price, a person will pay $80 per ticket to see toby keith and miranda lambert. we paid $180 for 2 days and 52 artists per person. do the math. it was well worth the price. besides, if you were a "camper" you had the ability to go in and out to eat and drink, however, the food i thought for a concert was very reasonably priced. tis a small price to pay for 2 days of pure bliss!!! we're definately in for next year and have already started planning. bring it on STAGECOACH!!!!!!!!!!

That event introduced us to Tim Mcgraw, Toby Keith, Faith Hill, Martina Mcbride, Travis Tritt, Confederate RXR, and scores of others........ I had a blast, it was needed out here in California and it's needed now. Problem is, well, MOST COUNTRY MUSIC FANS JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT. I've heard rumors that the event is no where near selling the way they had hoped. Maybe it's because most people would have to refinance their homes to afford it? lets see: $ 360.00 for a pair of tickets, another $50.00 per RV to get a spot, yet another $50.00 per person to be able to drive said RV "to" it's spot? (maybe the spot should've come with a pair of wristbands?) so for a couple, it costs roughly $510.00 just to view the event (since it's in the desert, not many people live near the venue, so driving to it each day, dealing with traffic, is out of the question) Now that you're there, you need money for food, drinks, and of course maybe a shirt from your favorite artist, roughly another $200.00 dollars for the weekend. Let's throw in gas and we're gonna be nice and call it $100.00 (since we wont drive when we're there, but again, it's out in the DESERT so most will have to trek quite away's to get there. So, in total, to see "quite a few" acts (c'mon people there are 4 different stages, so unless you have 8 eyeballs and bionic hearing you can only see and hear 1 act at a time) and with roughly 55 acts and only 20 hours of "listening time" "quite a few" is being generous. The grand total for the weekend event will run a couple about $810.00 dollars! Gee, I wonder why it isn't sold out? Most country music fans in California just can't afford to go to an event like this..........I hope they make enough money this year to consider the event a success, and do it again next year, but just like STARFEST 13 years ago(it went away after two years because it cost too much to produce) this will probably be the only year it happens. Enjoy it, I will, and wear sunscreen! Scott ( 100% American Made)

Wasn't there last year, but I read that it was as success. I'm hoping for more success this year.

Yeah, this is pretty up there cost-wise. I sure hope they find a way to keep it going year after year. Fan Fair is just about the same price (ticket-wise) and you get 4 days. Yeah, the artists are not paid for that. So, I guess the bigger the artists out here, the more we pay. We're in a catch 22.

I went to Stagecoach last year, and had a great time. I would recommend it, you get to see great artists, but I do feel it is expensive. I went to fan fest- CMA festival in Nashiville, wich was a lower cost for the tickets, and lasted longer. It was also wide spread around the city.

ya know $175.00 isn't bad for all the artists you get to see in two days......heck we get to pay ticketmaster almost $30 just to buy the tickets.........this is an awesome concert gang and you'll enjoy it - take yer lawn chairs - sit them down - spend two days enjoying good music and food too............check out cheap hotels in area or other rv parking or tenting areas which may be less expensive..........but know this you'll have a fantastic time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is a good idea to have expensive tickets. For those people who went this year they know how personal of a concert this is. If it were cheap then it would be overly packed with too many people. I met Miranda Lambert there last year and the line for autographs was only about ten minutes long!!!

Keep it expensive, it's a better concert that way....

oh you just wait. coachella started out slow and now sells out consistenly with around 60,000 heads a day. stagecoach could end up that way once word gets out, it just takes time.

    very cool pix..

i go to coachella and am considering going to stagecoach 08 but the chair thing bugs me big time! people just putting their chairs out to claim a spot im so-so on, but then again i wont stick to one area cuz ill be going from stage to stage.. im sitll undecided. but im glad that the stagecoach people are now starting to feel the vibe that is out at indio. i truly believe this event will become as big as coachella is now...
