Awww, what a sweet story! I love hearing things like that. And while it's rare, anything is possible when it comes to love. My good friend has been with her boyfriend for about 9 months and they are already talking to a wedding coordinator for next summer. They are perfect though. I have met few people that I've connected with INSTANTLY and had actual feelings for right away. The kiwi is one of them. But I am definitely keeping myself grounded on this one, it's just nice to dream

I went on a WEEKEND BLIND DATE cruise. Trusted my co-worker to fix me up with a really cute guy. He was really cute but that was ALL. Met someone else on the ship that I spent the next 10 years with.

What a cool story too Rose! I totally believe that everything happens for a reason, and that God has the ultimate plan, so i just TRY to leave it in his hands! I do believe that people can choose their own destiny (you are at a fork in the road and YOU choose which path to follow). But some things are fate, and will happen no matter which road you choose.

I went on a mercy date with a guy at work that had a crush on me. I felt sorry for him because I thought he was a dork but went out with him anyway because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
We have now been together for 18 years. Heck, I even married and divorced the guy. LOL We are now best friends and will be going to Yosemite for vacation this year.
So.....Everything IS possible my friend Chev. =o)

BTW - Are we going to have access to any electricity for charging phones and such? And I assume there are lockers to safely store our stuff while we're on the river?

That raft looks PERFECT. Gigi said you can bring an extension cord, not sure if that means there's electricity but I assume so. And LMAO Roy, you are too cute! Lockers? Seriously? Anythign valuable lock in your car I would think. Otherwise....well....we're camping. You can always call and check but I've never been tubing or camping where there's lockers. You can throw a lock on your tent too though. I just bring the important stuff with me in a tightly sealed bag and you can throw it in your cooler or whatever. That's my plan!

You've never been anywhere they have lockers? They have them at Yosemite at every campsite. I haven't done a ton of camping but I assumed this was a common thing at campgrounds.

yea i have never seen lockers at campgrounds before. you shouldn't need your phone when camping either! isn't that part of camping---getting away from technology (not counting ipods!)? Like Karena said keep your valuables in your car, they should be safe.

I've used that tube before, works perfectly. As far as valuables, I think everyone's already handled that, lock in the car or put in a plastic bag.

I am going to buy a two man raft from Kellys beach itself - they are the ones in the pictures and cost $25. And they inflate them for ya!!!
