What's the deal... Easton Corbin - no longer on the lineup. I was definitely looking forward to seeing him more than most of the other smaller acts other than the big 6. Wonder who's next...?

What happens at Stagecoach, STILL stays at Stagecoach!
Come Friday night, My friends and I start peeling off them labels
Working hard all week puts beer on the table
oh man i knew this was going to happen when i saw the TBA next to his name! this sucks mom and i really were looking forward to seeing him!
There's no way of knowing what tomorrow brings
Life is too short to waste it I say bring on anything
I ain't here for a long time
I'm here for a good time!!
That DOES suck, I wanted to check him out! I've heard good things about him. Maybe they'll replace him with somebody else up and coming. Steel Magnolias would be awesome, and they're gonna be in the area on Friday night for the Morongo show. Wait, does this mean Easton Corbin ISN'T gonna play at the Morongo on Friday night then?????
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!
i was just thinking about the Morongo concert! that'll be interesting to see if he's there or not. it would be awesome to have steel magnolias but that might be too good to be true.

I THINK HE IS DOING THE MORONGO CONCERT INSTEAD OR MAYBE THAT IS WHY HE WAS LISTED WITH A TBD. ? IM BUMMED ...
Aw man! I was ok with not going to the Morongo show because he was going to be at SC. I was actually going to make it to a side stage just for him! Sucks.
I remember back when they kept adding people as the days and weeks went on - not taking people off! I just don't get announcing a lineup and retracting SO many acts. Like someone said before- I get if something comes up and they need to back out, but announcing a lineup, selling tickets and then realizing there are SO many scheduling conflicts? Not cool.
That's crazy! Like chicken on a roast beef sandwich!
Hey, as I was told when I bitched about JJ being removed....you can always just sell your tix......
this will be my first Stagecoach.....and my last.....I realize they don't care as they already have several hundred dollars of mine, but I'll be got-damned if they get anymore...I don't know who the promoters are, but they're not very damn good at their job...
Well....they do put a little disclaimer that the tickets being sold are for the festival weekend and not any particular act. Or something to that effect. I am always thrilled about the performing artists, and of course bummed when they're taken off, but really? We're watching them on a screen (unless you have Gold Circle tix). Stagecoach is for the awesome experience for me (AND of COURSE the music, but for $100 I get to see at least 5 people I like, and that's awesome!). Yes I was bummed when they took Jason off (and stoked when they brought him back) but I knew I'd still see a bunch of artists I love.
*The opinion expressed above is just that. My opinion.![]()
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!
I threw 7 different kinds of hissy fit when Jamey was removed from the line-up. I'm still more than a little irked at that one......
I still love the Stagecoach experience. Even if I could only see the last three acts on the Mane stage both days I've still gotten more than my money's worth at $99. Add to it the BBQ competition (10 different 2 0z. samples for $20--HELLO), the side stages where I can broaden my musical interests/horizons with bands I've never heard of, the Clysdales. Icing on the cake dude!!!
The people I have met on this board have become true friends, we are a giant family. We camp and attend the festival together. We join up at other events throughout the year. They are phenomenal people and I am grateful to have them in my life. That is something you can't put a price tag on.
I'm sorry if you're upset/disappointed by a particular act being removed, it's not Stagecoach taking them off, it's them backing out. Stagecoach is not a 'concert'. It is a festival. It is, in it's totality, an experience.
Just heard the promotion on the radio again for the Morongo. They're still announcing Easton Corbin....
No matter what they say I've done, I ain't never had too much fun!
Trisa - my mom said she feels like she knows you already, she can't wait to officially meet you! lol i talk about my SC peeps all the time. i wish i could get Grandma out more but there are just so few things that she's able to do and enjoy. hopefully you'll get to meet her one day!

and how exactly do you blame the promoter for a band dropping out? how about directing your anger at the band/their management who can't hold up their end of the deal?
If you don't have a signed contract with said artist, you don't announce them being there....seems pretty simple to me....If somebody does have to drop out, issue a press release expressing sorrow for the inconvenience (yes, it's a meaningless platitude, but it's a gesture)....as it has been in this case, they put tickets on sale, with a line-up announced, but have changed that line-up several times but have not announced any reasons or even any news of the changes.....piss poor promotion in my opinion....That's my biggest gripe.....they don't have the common business sense to relay information to the ticket buyers/customers.....
