Don't know who's responsible and don't really care.....But I bought tix specifically because Jamey Johnson was scheduled to appear....the other acts are just bonuses as far I was concerned.....then he magically disappears from the line-up.....That's bullshit! I don't know all the intricacies of putting on a show of this nature, but if you don't have a signed contract from an act, then you don't announce that they're going to be there.....seems pretty simple to me....but, then again, I'm dumb enough to cough up several hundred bucks because a concert promoter publicly announced that there would be particular acts at a show....so what do I know.....

The worst part is that there has been no information released explaining WHY....not from Stagecoach, not from Johnson, nothing.....


I'm sorry, I'm just venting here, but it pissed me off.....it's like I bought a plane ticket to Chicago but they dropped me off in Miami, just because they felt like it....

I know exactly how you feel. Unfortunately, the promoters put that little line at the bottem that says lineup is subject to change. My girlfriend is really upset that the same thing happened to Gary Alan. The Wagon wheel festival is doing a pretty good job with this problem this year. They are taking a really long time to announce who is playing and when I asked why they said they just want to dot the I's and cross the T's which is exactly how Stagecoach should have done it.. With all that said, the show is still well worth the money and it's great entertainment. Someone will be more than happy to buy your tix off you.

Unfortunately it DOES have that subject to change thing. It does suck though. I got tickets for Country Throwdown and he's supposed to be there (as of now)...maybe try getting tickets for that?

wow i had no idea JJ disappeared from the lineup! That sucks. I remember when they did that with Jason and my heart was broke. I'm sorry Charlie - that kind of disappointment really blows.

I understand the whole "line-up subject to change" bit...but one would think that with professional concert promoters, tour managers, artists, etc....that "change" would be the result of sickness, death, weather, etc.....hell, what's to stop them next year from just putting out a poster in October saying every Top 20 country act in the US is going to be at Stagecoach.....and then after they get a nice run on tickets....come Januaary, it's "oh, nevermind, now it's going to be my Uncle Carl with his moonshine jug and some mariachi musicians we picked up on the corner of some street in Azusa"....."You're not happy? well, I'm sure you can sell you're tix to somebody...it's out of our control, the line-up is subject to change, sorry and thanks for the money". I know things change and some things can't be controlled, but as I said in my original post, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SIGNED CONTRACT, YOU DON'T ANNOUNCE AN ACT IS GOING TO BE THERE! Especially 6-8 months in advance.... And, if an act does have to drop out, at least have the decency to announce why, even if it's nothing more than a PR flak's mindless scribblings......

Unless he's playing some super secret, unannounced set somewhere on the grounds....yeah, he's gone....cuz he ain't on the poster and he ain't in either of the daily line-ups listed on the website.....plus, on his own website, he has a show somewhere in Georgia on the 23rd...so unless he REALLY hauls ass, I don't think he's gonna be at SC anymore....
