This was not my first post, and I'm not being a bitch.

I bought a bus ticket to Indio from Missouri and people from the coachella are giving me a ride from the bus terminal and giving me a ride back to San Diego.

I have posted in the SD thread, but no one responded.

I am not saying I'm entitled or that anyone has to give me a ride because that isn't the case. My point in writing this is that I have heard nothing but nice things about the people that attend Stagecoach and have been assured I will enjoy my time off at the festival even though I will be attending alone. In the spirit of the festival, I don't understand why anyone with the capability wouldn't reach out to help. I'm asking for a ride from a place where you already live and I'm going to help pay for gas.

Here's an Idea why not just stay in Indio then you won't have to worry about a ride. BTW I don't give rides to strangers, maybe if you had a better attitude people would be more willing to help.

What do you even mean? I came in here and posted and tried to find a ride and this is the first time that I was even acknowledged. I didn't come in here to be berated and picked on. I simply asked if someone had some spare room. I do admit that what I said was pretty blunt, but it was worded incorrectly. I am not being confrontational or nasty to anyone in here, so I'd appreciate the same respect.

No, you probably didn't MEAN for it to come across as blunt, or rude, or demanding. But sometimes things just come across online a totally different way than they would if you were saying it in person.

(Again - might not be the way you INTENDED it to sound!) My advice would be apologize for things coming across the wrong way, understand that most of us "normal" people would not be willing to give a ride to a complete stranger, move on, and get a fresh start to your SC message board experience!

It might not feel this way to YOU right now, but honestly the people on here are freakin great!

Kylie...you said you posted several times about needing a ride. I looked at your older posts. None were ones you started yourself. Your message about needing a ride was thrown in the middle of people having a conversation already so they probably just skipped over it. Also, someone else needed a camping spot and you offered to swap part of your space for a ride....so why would people think you still need help? Then you post the "seriously disappointed" thread. Maybe if you had started one yourself mentioning the willing to trade some camping space or ride people would've been more inclined to help. Again, most people don't want strangers hitching a ride with them....just saying.

I live in LA and wouldn't want someone I've never met in the car, am I still supposed to respond to you wishing you the best of luck on your journey?
