I agree with you all on the whining about the prices, but I have to WHINE about the RV rental thing. I just sold my trailer and the camping is so much of the experience. I would almost pay more than that, SHHHHHH Don't tell anyone. I can get a hotel, but it's just not the same. No TIKI bar, no lemon drops, no jacuzzi in my campsite. BUMMER....

I dig the line-up! I don't know why people are complaining about it so much. And the general admission prices are very reasonable. It is the 'no camping' rule that is killing me :/ Like many people have said, camping is all part of the experience. I don't want to stay in a hotel or rent a house out and have to worry about driving and parking and what not....

I think the prices are pretty much exactly the same as I paid last year - because by the time I got my ticket, the "$149" ones were gone (in about 2 seconds) and it went to the $199 I think. By the time they added fees I was at a good $230 or $235 I think. So if the prices are really "what you see is what you pay" like they said, they REALLY didn't go up by much at all....!

You should stay at our hotel. We need a Tiki Bar set up. We do Jello Shots (just not your special ones). They play flip cup by the pool. Or is that ping pong thing in the red cup called? They don't have a jacuzzi but we have kinda a real bed, shower and AIR CONDITIONING. Everyone who stays there goes to SC and a few of the board members here too!!!

I'm loving the line-up this year. Can't wait to see all the new acts that have not done SC before (Especially Hank Jr. and Charlie Pride)
Also looking forward to whom are they going to be adding to the original line-up and any special guests. Wouldn't it be a hoot if it's somebody really big to make all those complainers wish they would have gone.

They dropped ED2 and made RV camping all electric for $855 and $955. Huge price increase for non-electric users camping. Basically tried to calm RV partying down by a price raise...only ED1 parties just as hard as ED2 did. Maybe harder because you run your A/C all day and can have full bands running amped equipment on top your RV. So not exactly seeing how that changes the party atmosphere of RV "resort". Maybe that just don't like the younger country folk?

I am so happy I found a thread that is not bitching about the the festival! we have put our application in and are waiting for a response! cant wait! we have always camped in ED1 and always have an awesome time! cant wait!
