Thread: Electrical ??

    Default Electrical ??

This may have already been answered but I can't find where. I'm confused about the new electrical sales. I have an under 40' site as I'm using my Suburban as my "mini" motorhome. I would like to hook up to electricity for my laptop and for a fan but don't understand exactly how the electrical is set up. Does each RV site have electrical to it and the electrical permit is just to use it or is the RV area that have electrical a completely different area? Also I'm not coming in until Saturday and since I have an RV site I won't have to worry about not getting one will I?

If you don't get an electrical permit, your spot won't have electrical at it.

If you purchased an RV camping ticket there will be a spot for your RV.
(hope you also bought per person camping tickets for each person in your group)

Sorry to be a pain but need to know if a regular extension cord will work or will I need a special RV cord?
    Thanks

Just wanted to make sure my Suburban is acceptable as my "mini" RV. I just looked at the FAQ on the main page and it says no sleeping in your cars but wasn't sure if that meant in the tent camping area or overall.

The vehicle must be one that is made for sleeping to be considered an RV. If not, you must park it at the onsite camping parking lot. There is no sleeping in cars in the parking lot.

I'm still confused. I bought an RV space, camping pass, and electrical permit for using my Suburban which I set up for sleeping. So I can't do that? I wouldn't have bought an RV pass then. At the beginning of this thread I mentioned I was using my Suburban as a "mini" RV before purchasing the electrical permit.

Send me a private message with your email about buying my electrical permit. I don't have any use for it now that I can't sleep in my Suburban. There was one person interested but she hasn't gotten back to me.
