Taxis and/or shuttles

We are staying in Rancho Mirage, about 12 miles from SC. I was wondering what the taxi service is like at the festival? Will I be able to get a taxi at the end of the night? Or maybe a shuttle service? I would rather not drive to and from the hotel... limits my drinking and increases my frustration level.

I think you need to take one of the shuttles. You would take the Palm Desert Line. The shuttles don't go to every hotel, only certain ones. I am in the process of searching for public parking at one of the hotels. I know there is public parking in between Indian Wells resort and Miramonte Resort. If you find public parking at one of the Palm Desert hotels, can you let me know? As, I am staying in Rancho Mirage also, but not at one of the hotels they go to.

I am wondering if the taxis take the same route as the shuttles or do the shuttles have a special route? Has anyone used taxis previously for Stagecoach?

Why not go with a personal driver for either your own vehicle, or a rental. Suppose your 12 miles out. That's an $80 round trip in a cab. Times 3 days and your looking at $240. I charge $360 for three days of personal driving. I'm on approx. 12 hrs per day. Use me just like a limo driver. For $120 on top of what you'd pay for a cab, you don't have to wait for a taxi or a shuttle. I'm standing by close ready to pick you up. That's piece of mind. You can also use your personal driver for any other use or contingency you may think of. Forgot something? Need a trip to wal-mart? Want to go to an afterparty and have me wait? Want me to go back and shuttle three girls you just met to the afterparty?

Shuttles are the best way to go, and one price for all three days. Serving more locations this year. With Will Call on site you don't have to go out of your way to pick them up this year either.
