How is Kenny Chesney not a "real" artist? How would someone sell that many albums and draw that many fans to his concerts if he was not "real?" How does this festival not have "real" artists that you will catch at another time? How would someone that is not a "real" artist get Entertainer of the Year? You don't make any sense!

And what did Kenny Chesney do to you to piss you off? Make a hell of a lot more money than you last year? Some people are so jealous it is sickening.

I think people are really missing the point about ticket prices here.

The $500 we were talking about is the general cost of the weekend, including accomodation, food, drink and travel etc.

Standard 2 day passes are only $165. A total bargain. Quit whining.

VIP passes are more money - but that's for the golden circle, and to be honest - the golden cirlce isn't all that great. Yes you get a bit closer, but the sound is always better when you're a bit further back.

So really you're bitching about $165 for a ticket, which is crazily cheap for all the artists you'll see.

When you go see someone at their own concert it may only cost $20. But you're not paying for 4 stages, hundreds of security, loan of a polo gound, fire crews, ambulance crews, police etc etc. It costs a lot of money to put these events on.

If you don't like it, and you don't want to go - do everyone a favor and spend your time more productively, rather than coming to a messageboard about a Country Music Festival that you're not even coming to. I mean....seriously - is your life that boring?

Geez, kids, this rant needs to be shut down. I saw Kenny w\George, Tim McGraw and the Chicks... 'bout seven years back in Vegas... he was country... at one time. but hey.... if puka shells and slow songs can garnish the $$ and the girls... who knows, maybe I would sell out to. It really doesn't matter folks... after a day of real country music... cuddling up with a Perry Como wouldn't be bad. Chill and enjoy.

Oh.. I see.. you're the arbiter now.. . What position do I need to defend? Any derogatory comments about chesney have been in this thread and maybe one comment in another.. If you percieve these comments as an attack on Chesney then I guess you're a little sensitive. I was asked why I wouldn't go and I answered, simple as that. But you dont see it that way apparently.

Sigh. This is really getting tiresome, Misfit. Surely you are capable of reading your own posts. R-E-A-D them, honey, it’s not that difficult. You’ve claimed to know which artists are “real”; you have implied that if an artist is not “real” in your estimation, he or she is lacking in quality; you have made numerous negative comments about one artist in particular, then back-pedaled and claimed you were not bashing him; you have refused to answer a direct question as to what you would consider bashing... Do you need me to go on, or have you figured out that READing thing now?

(And for anyone else reading this thread -- no, there is no point to it, other than Misfit continually setting himself (or herself) up and getting called on his/her contradictions and inconsistencies. And yes, the fun quickly drains out of it when all a person can say is "think what you like" and "wow that was witty." No challenge = no fun.)
