Lol okay. Well first the day before auditions you go and pre-register. I.d. card and birth certificate and they give you your visitor wristband as well as audition wristband. well first ill start with yes you get up at 4 am and stand in the ridiculously long lines. To be seated IN a stadium[ the first year at the Orleans in vegas, and a year ago in the qualcom stadium] you are seated according to how you were placed in line, so the earlier you get there..the earlier you will be seated in your stadium seating. Down on the field..or floor...they have 8 ez ups lined up. Each ez-up has 3 american idol producers sitting at a table, and there are 8 rounds of this[before getting to paula simon and randy! they pull you down in rows in which each ez up has 3 lines of 8 people in each... you are basically in a pair of 3 when walking up to ez up. Each step foward and sing for a matter of 15-30 seconds and step back, then the next, then the last. they tell everyone to step foward and tell you if you can do better, if your moving on[ to do the same thing AGAIN] or, if your done..then they cut your wristband and you walk out the back end of the stadium and the visitor or 'support party' meets you out back. NOT to mention your sitting in the miserable heat..it was july when i tryed out 2 years ago at qualcom..so just imagine the lovely weather. anyways...They pass a TON of people for publicity purposes obviously. I mean obviously there are ones with talent..but for example even If they thought i was terrible...They didnt pass a girl next to me who was AMAAAZZZINGGG. So, it goes to show the person riding the horse two ez ups down..or the guy wearing the sombrero..why they really got in. the second time I tryed out, luckily I had learned from the first time...and made it to the 6th round..RIGHT before simon, paula and randy=[ SO...needless to say..there is a lot they dont show on tv..and how long and hard these kids have worked to get there!
