I feel like I REALLY need to share this. I just found out that my sons behavior could be directly linked to the medication (Singulair) he's been on for 2 years. If you have a child taking this, PLEASE read this website and seriously consider stopping. There are over 800 people who have had the same side effects with their normally sweet children.

What killed me was the first poster takling about her child saying "his brain told him to". Tyler says that when he's asked why he gets so angry or hits others. I feel so sick to my stomach right now. I can't stop crying, and I don't know whether to feel guilty, mad, or relieved. I took him off of it a few weeks ago, but I have only noticed him getting worse with his anger issues. I really hope this stops soon, I'm thinking maybe the side effects are lasting longer because he was on it for so long.

Thanks lady. It's been so tough, especially lately and I think it's the "detox" part of it, I have no idea. He isn't sleeping well at night (normally can't wake the kid up!) and most days with him I just want to quit and leave. Definitely not my normal little sweetheart, and he hasn't been for awhile, it's just a LOT worse now. We did have a great day yesterday, and I texted his Kinder teacher earlier and she said he was having a great day. Fingers crossed for a good day at the Y. I told him one full good day and he can go to Chuck E. Cheese. That's how much ONE good day is worth right now!
