Thats funny being nationally acclaimed artist I'm always creative.lol
Our family is either at the Dunes in Newport Beach or now we also have Pacifica in the gardens for dinner and the show ,to watch the Palm desert fireworks.

Thom anything else going on at the middle school during the day?
Sometimes it is nice just to stay home and not fight the crowds and watch them on T.V so I know exactly what you are talking about.

Thought this thread might show many ways and places to celebrate this year...

Guess this is where Rascal will be watching fireworks.... Rascal Flatts celebrates July 4th in Boston

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 – Rascal Flatts will get patriotic on Independence Day, going north to Boston for a celebration with conductor Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. The entertainment special will be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston, Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m. live eastern, delayed Pacific on CBS. Craig Ferguson of CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" will host the special for the second consecutive year.
Rascal Flatts will perform some of their greatest hits with the Pops. The concert will also feature its traditional piece, the Boston Pops rendition of the "1812 Overture." The final 23 minutes of the telecast, featuring the fireworks display, will be presented commercial free. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the annual July 4 rite, the orchestra's annual free outdoor Fourth of July concert.

I will NEVER go to the beach (I think it was Redondo) for fireworks with handicapped folks who can't walk. I had to hike to get the car and then try to drive down streets that are all blocked off for exit only. It two me two hours to pick them up get out of there.
