I've played drums for as long as I can remember.I started playing in bands in the 5th grade. That's pretty much all I did til my early twenties. Then that pay to play crap came out in hollywood and most of the bigger clubs. I refused to pay a club $1500 to play so they can sell $8 drinks to the people we bring in. Since then I dropped out and just play on my own or jam with friends once in a while.
That's awesome!! I'm an aspiring drum student... Just started learning about a year or so ago at the ripe old age of 36! I've always loved them and finally decided "what the heck" - and signed up for lessons. Would love any advice you have to offer. = ) Wish I could see you play. Playing since 5th grade... bet yer gooooooood. ; )

Mike Ness and band will be at the B.U.T December 16. He'll also be at the Coach House in SJC December 10 with James Intveld-attend this show at your own risk. I believe the two other shows on the sixth & ninth are sold out.
What's the B.U.T? Am I totally out of it, er what?

Holler and swaller!!!!
Were you into the Alley cats? The bass player from one of my bands was a huge fan of theirs. Whenever I quit their drummer filled the void. The bass player also had a few rockabilly bands but I don't know which ones. His name was Danny Phillips but he changed his last name when he went rockabilly.
Love Rockabilly, used to hang with the Blasters a bit, as well as a few other great bands. I was the full Rockabilly chick, dressed the part, danced my arse off, swing, throw me in the air, under, around, down and OUT!! whoooo those were the days!
