    Default Toby meet and greet

    Hey,

So I was wondering, as I got so lost in the posts, who is actually going to see Toby at Glen Helen? I am still working on bringing the 5th wheel for shade, BBQ and fun. I am trying to get a hold o Glen Helen to see if they will let us stay in the parking lot till the am so we dont have to drive...anyone have a contact? I cant get anywhere.

I encourage any newbies who may be going to meet up with us. My daughter is coming and I am soooo excited to have her home from SFSU College this summer (she will attend RCC for the summer) at the end of this month, and I bought her tickets so she can come out and enjoy.

Seems some of us have seats pretty close to each other, it is a great venue, and nice seating and lawn area. Gotta keep all of us going on meeting up and having new people join in on the fun we experienced at Stagecoach.

IHML and I will be there! Going with my Mom, Stepdad, Aunt and Cousin (all who were at Stagecoach!) YAY!

Can't wait. Still have 4 extra tickets not fully spoken for (Hodgee is gonna get back to me - did you get to talk to the boys? Hope you're able to go!!??)....

I don't know anything about staying overnight - wish I had a contact for you....but we'll definitely be getting there early to tailgate some!!! WOOHOO!

I wish the Glen Helen was a closer venue to me. An hour and a half each way and that's with no traffic. They sure do seem to get really good artists there.

i have had too many bad experiences at glen helen to ever give them my business again. it once took us 7 hours to get into the show from newport beach. left at 3pm and got into the show around 10pm. we made it out there in no time, but once we got close to the venue the traffic was backed up for miles upon miles on the 15. it was so bad that we ended up getting in 2 songs into the headliners set, missing the actual band we went to see. turns out they oversold the concert by so much that the parking was overflowing. the venue/promoter actually gave us a refund for our tickets plus free tickets to another show in the future to one of the other shows they promoted. the only reason we even got in is because we decided to jump off the 15 and drive across to the 215. even then it was a mess, but just a little better. i have heard from numerous others about similar experiences, so be forewarned.

Cooter, then what you are saying is you have two free tickets...get there early with us and you are set!! I have never had that issue, although I can say that with my sons always racing at Glen Helen and Living in Rialto for 4 years, that 15 does suck, especially during the Oz Fest..we Camp at the race tract and the guys who shuttle come from the race track and take that back dirt road from the track to the venue...we considered doing that again this yes then they sneek us a ride with our dog (leaving the dog home) so we can watch from the hills on the big screens, but with tickets, may be harder to get to an entrance.

Cooter, was that the No Doubt show? Cuz it took us 7 hours to get to the exit ramp...when we only live an hour away. We heard the show was pretty much almost over so we turned around, went to Cold Stone and drove home. They gave us free tix to another show too--ended up seeing Incubus. Now when we go to Glen Helen we go SUPER early, shop at Ontario Mills and then tailgate in the parking area.

haha - so true - I don't think there is a better way to describe what a mess that was!

I swore that I'd never return to Glen Helen for a concert after that - however....Toby playing there a couple years ago changed my mind. The getting there super early and tailgating plan is the only thing that saves our sanity - and gets us in to actually SEE the show!
