Talking Some people have a need to complain.

We had been sitting for hours in a nice spot, we could see the screen sitting in our chairs and enjoy the music. (we are in our mid 30's)
As the evening progressed these girls who somehow were attached to the group sitting next to us showed up. They had to be younger than 21 as everyone over 21 had the wristbands to drink and had this group been old enough to drink, they'd have had the bands. Anyway, my wife is a Desert Storm Nurse Veteran, she has had 15 knee surgerys and has back problems due to her military carreer and is unable to stand for long periods, which is why we chose the spot we did so she could sit and enjoy the show.
About half way through John Fogerty the group made their way between the people's chair in front of us and our blanket. They began dancing and jumping around screaming and stayed there. We could no longer see from our seated position. We asked nicely if they wouldn't mind moving over and explained my wifes reasons for needing to sit. We were ignored.
We asked again if they would move and were told to "party, wooooo, why would we want to sit"
This was upsetting and angered by their disrespect we went to find an event staff/security guard to assist us. All we were asking is for them to move into the 8X5 spot they had and allow us to enjoy the concert seated. They then said we could move in front of them if we were going to continue complaining, and we did just to salvage the evening.
Things would have been fine from there if they had left us alone.
They began taunting my wife and I. Screaming "B*#CH" and "You're such a awful person, why can't you have fun" and "f-ing this and that" This bordered on insane. We simply asked for some kindness and understanding.
We ended up having to get the police to come over and tell them to knock it off. This was our special weekend and these girls gave it a rough start.
They should be ashamed of their actions. If our daughter ever disrespected someone this way I'd be dissapointed.
We didn't ask them to leave, just move over into the large space they had rather than being in a line in front of us.
Everyone..respect your fellow concert goers, you all paid the same to get in (turns out this group had won free tickets on the radio, figures)
Let everyone enjoy the show, and if someone is disabled for any reason..
respect their needs as some day you may need someone to do the same for you.
I do believe that I was a witness to this event. From what I could see, it looked as if the younger crowd (in their mid 20's) were dancing with each other and having a good time. I saw an older same sex couple begin scooting their chairs up as if to push them out of their area. Then the older lady began yelling because the young girls continued to dance as if, they wanted to ignore the older lady and continue their fun. After a few words were exchanged I could see the standing group inviting the older couple to sit in front of them so they could see and so they could continue to dance. As the women were moving their chairs I saw them point their fingers in the young girls face and yell some words. More words were exchanged then I was SHOCKED to see the older Lady pick up her chair and threaten to hit the young lady with it. After the whole issue was said and done the older lady (with the bad knees and bad back) Stood through the entire eagles concert. So the fight was pointless anyways and as far as I could see was started by the elderly couple. I agree that people should respect their elders but I also believe that older people should also have respect. Their was a lot of people at then festival and it was a grass area with no assigned seating. Everyone needs to respect everyone. The whole crowd was standing for the concert, if you are disabled then the venue will make the appropriate arrangements for you. I saw many arguments over the weekend and was shocked to see this post. Their are always two sides to a story.

Therealstory is part of the group.

    As to the real story.

Who was reprimanded by security and the police, not once, not twice, but 3 times? You also failed to explain that the actual police are who moved us up and told you guys to grow up or you would be ejected, there was no offer by anyone in your party. I do not consider myself elderly at 37 nor my wife at 33. This would only be a comment by someone much younger. My teenage daughter thinks I am elderly too. . Girls if anything, I came home and had a good talk with my daughter to ensure she would never be so disrespectful.

As the Desert Storm Veteran, I would disagree with the amount of time I stood. I stood for my favorite song so that I could see.

In regards to who was there first. 3 adult members of your party were there first and spent the day next to us with no problems. "The girls", who most definitely were underage, appears just before Fogarty and were asked politely before security intervention to move to their area next to us. They created a wall of 5 girls/woman with 3 of them in front of us, whom has been sitting there all day.

Therealstory and 10-6 mommy need a few more years under their belt. It appears you got little sympathy here. Once we left these girls we had an amazing weekend with no further run-ins.

As far as paying $2000 for your tickets, “the girls" specifically said that they were sorry we paid for ours and obviously they were "smarter" because they got theirs for "free". Seems like they would have rather bragged about spending $2000, if that was factual. That was then followed by F-yous and F-off. In regards to our orientation. I will not bother to dignify that with a response. Grow up!

The actions of the 30'something women (not elderly which continues to show how young the poster truly is) were in responce to the bad attitudes of the younger girls. The police were finally the ones to stop the situation. Funny thought, the police didn't have a problem with us and I was never told to settle down or I'll be ejected. It is sad it came to that but when being rude, that is what you get.
When asked by others for help at the very same concert I..
1.Made room in our small space for another couple to see and enjoy the show (as there was a wall of behinds in front of them as well).
2.Saved spots for people next to us.
3.Found a young mans cel phone, called him and before returning home got him his phone back. (he had no idea he had lost it as poor guy was drunk)
4.Shared our spot with a woman and her young children so they could see.
5.Made great friends with the groups around us, shared and talked.
Most of the people we encountered were amazing! Thanks everyone.
We got kindness and we gave kindness...how the world works my friend.
I will not continue to speak on this (as i know there will be some verbal attack in responce to this) But, my point all along was to make you think about what you did and hopefully see that most others would feel the same as us about your behavior.

Lightbulb Re: Some people have a need to complain.

The purpose of the post was to respond to the complaints as to say that their are always two sides to a story, people will complain about their encounters but that's not always the complete truth. It is obvious who is filled with anger. I believe that I made an attempt not to attack either party.

    So in conclusion:
Go to Stagecoach and have a great time. Try to remember that their are a lot of people there. See ya next year.

Things were seen from that standpoint all along..with one addition "go, have a great time, there will be lots of people...and be mindful of others"
I am one of the most easy going people you will ever meet, unless I am being wronged.

I know everyone was joking around but, I don't drink. Never drink. Step-father was a drunk. Not sure if the comment was stating that I had been drinking but, neither of us were drunk or had been drinking.

I know this is the "b*#tch fest" area, but I just have something to say. If you buy "general admission" tickets to a festival this huge, you "can't" expect everyone to behave or have "courtesy" for others. It is what it is. Everyone was there to have fun and let loose. I've been in a "temporary handicapped" position as was my sister, and the venue had no problem making alternate arrangements for us to sit comfortably and safe from further injury. I had a great time and observed nothing less than what I expected.

Remember, we live in a "FREE" country giving us options!!!
    Them prayers work, you know!!!
