Exclamation 10PM lock down until 1AM

Last year we had no problem leaving around 11:30am -

This year the gates at ED1 (don't know about the others) will be locked at 10PM not to open until 1AM - to spring this on us last minute and force us to either not see the last 2 acts on Mane - or wait to drive at 1am is a devil of a choice. Didn't learn of this until going into the grounds where a large lit sign was stationed. Had I known about this, I could have made plans to adjust my morning business.

One officer my sister spoke with (she wasn't her last year) was told they did the same thing last year????

Did they??? I sure got out easy and stayed right to the end.

The lock down actually went both ways. (Out-Bound & In-Bound)

I was in the forum (tent) camping area and had to leave at 10:00pm Friday night to get ice for my cooler and a few immidiately needed items.

I left the grounds and purchased my items, when I tried to return about 30 minutes later. I was told that the in-bound lanes of traffic were closed and that I would not be able to re-enter the parking areas until after 1am.

When I asked the cop just what they expected people to do for over two hours while they waited. His response was "well, on hwy 111 they have a Denny's, you could go there"

Instead I chose to park my car in a lot at teh edge of the parking barrior and take a nap until the cones were taken down and travel could resume.

Talk about a crummy way to begin such a great weekend.

WE didn't have a clue about the lock down till we went to the concert.
WE left during Big and RIch and left early and missed Carry and Tim McGraw.
    We will know next year..
We had a good time but the lock down sucked..

There were signs taped everywhere, at every entrance, exit to the festival itself, and at the vehicle entrances, on the gates to the walking entrances to the campgrounds, in and out...sorry no one read the, we sure did and we werent even leaving.
