let's put it in other terms: all of this is like you owning a p.o.s. car, but your neighbor drives a mercedes and you take it because we are all entitled to drive a nice car.

think of it this way: if everyone puts $10 a week into a jar then by the time the show rolls around they would have enough for a reserved seat. not bad if you plan for it, eh?

How was it up front? I bet it was scary...I just remember my "punk" days and rockabilly days with all the issues up front, i cant believe i did the things I did to get up front, almost dying it seemed.

It's not about someone having more than anyone else it's about having a good time and if security allows it then oh well. The VIP and Gold circle paid a lot of $$$ and got crappy security. Maybe they should complain. I was not lying about the reserved ticket the security guard gave us. I was B.S.ing with a marine security guard who was 19 and another security guard came up and asked if I had a ticket to be up close. I said no and he pulled out a stack of tickets. I'd be an idiot to turn those down wouldn't I. I understand where you all are coming from but the bottom line is Golden voice is there to make $$$ and they hire cheap labor who really doesn't care that much about their job. I was wasted all weekend and had a lot of fun. That's what it's all about. Having fun. It is not about people pissing and moaning about their posh seats being disturbed by "pee ons". If they don't like it then complain to Goldenvoice or just don't go next year. They will not be missed. Comparing sneaking up at a concert to breaking into a vehicle is a joke BTW. Every concert everywhere people try to sneak up. It's fun. Get over yourselfs.

We got Free VIP for Friday! (we only had sat and sun seats) a guy who worked for the Eagles saw us standing and said he needed to find two people fast who are fans, and we were just two of us, so we got sec 2, row 9, in the middle free from the Eagles themselves...no security guards. I guess the Eagles sent out their crew to hand out tickets. Talk about luck, no smoozing the 19 yr old guards ahahahahaa

It's more of being disturbed by people who did not pay for a seat...sitting in yours and then being rude and nasty when asked to politely move.

    Paying customers are always missed.

Blues, dont get your feathers ruffled, the car thing WAS just a joke...sheesh,

anyway, you seem very very defensive that you cant "afford" the seats we did. Hmm, get an education, or a better job! They pay $10 an hour at In-n-Out. So you feel like a pee on? hmmm Well, sorry for that, but we work our asses of for those seats so we deserve them! Thats how life is. When I was straight out of school I never, never dissed the people who had seats, I was jealous, but knew they deserved them if they can afford them. So I got my education, made money, married a good man, and NOW I can afford them!! (ok so the house payment is not made, but oh well) jk

All you keep saying in your posts is HOW WASTED YOU WERE...well jeeze, put one and one together, spend your money on seats instead!! But hey if your priorities are such, then you have nothing to complain about...right?

    Bluesilv...Seriously???
Maybe one day you'll know what its like to work hard for your money and be able to spend it as you please. If people want to spend the $$ on nice seats....why do you care?? And good for you getting around security and scoring some extra tickets, I would have taken advantage of those opportunities as well but I would have been RESPECTFUL of people who paid their hard earned money to be there and not act like such a P.O.S. Why do you have to put people down and be so disrespectful??? Not saying that the people who have a wholier than thou attitude are any better...I have the $$ to pay for those seats but chose not to so I guess I am riff-raff according to those folks...I loved where I was and wouldn't have had it any other way!!!
    Holler and swaller!!!!

Oh, for goodness sakes. It's not about the haves versus the have nots. It's about the fact that people shouldn't be offensive, pushy, or take what does not belong to them-i.e., a seat that they didn't pay for. If security or the Eagles gave fans seats then that's fine. I'm talking about people who scammed their way to the front and caused all kinds of problems inlcuding delaying the Eagles. We ended up getting 10 minutes cut from their set because of scammer selfishness.

I might have been an idiot for paying $800 for my front row seat but I didn't have to lie or cheat to keep it nor did I inconvenience other concert goes by holding up the show until security could get me to go back to my original seat-I was already there.

We missed 10 minutes because of selfish, rude, obnoxious individuals that don't know how to follow rules or care about others. Now i'm ticked off

No matter how she was feeling, no matter how many empty seats there were, there was no excuse for her to say fuck and use the finger. There were parents there with their kids. There is a time and place to do that, and that wasn't it.

You gotta be kidding me. I know your not but that's just not fair/right. I was behaving myself and I don't deserve to be punished with the people who don't. grrrrrrrrrr

Those folks should give me some of my money back, bet they wouldn't do that again if it came out of their own pockets.

bluesilv.... your assumptions are disappointing. you think it's only genuine if you hop a fence? everyone has their own "what's worth it to me to spend lotsa money on" items. i don't throw out $400 to go to stagecoach cuz i care about luxury ANYTHING! i care about the experience. i care about being as close to the music as possible. i love the grass party too, but when the music is on, i wanna be as close as i can be. that's MY experience, and MY choice of what's worth spending my money on.

i buy $10 sunglasses, $40 purses, but paid $1000 to sit in the front row of Van Halen because i waited 23 years for it, and that EXPERIENCE was worth it to me... NOT because i give a sh** about luxury. you're talking to some serious music appreciators here, so don't lump us all into one shallow money bucket.

I kept waiting for them to sing my song, I told my g/f, my mom, her friend, my WHOLE GROUP! that we weren't leaving until they were completely done so I knew if my song got sung or not... and nothing. When they did desperado, at first I thought it was T.S. but nope.

I completely agree with you abra. Very well said. I don't know if I would call our seats "luxury" by any means. Expensive, yes - Luxurious, no

I wish Kymery would make up her mind if it’s ok to sneak up front or not. In one sentence she is harshing on Bluesily for not saving up, paying for her seat and taking advantage of security to get up front. Her statement after the tirade about education and school says, “I never, never dissed the people who had seats, I was jealous, but knew they deserved them if they can afford them.”, but not two posts earlier, while walking down memory lane about her punk and rockabilly days she says, “I can’t believe the things I did to get up front,” Now, one would be led to believe she didn’t pay for those front row seats back in the day. The thing about this entire thread is, people who want to pay and can will pay for seats, but they are going to have to accept the fact that people who didn’t pay, for either financial reasons or common sense reasons, are going to find a way up front. Bottom line, deal with it. It’s a fact of concert going.
