    Unhappy Shelby Lynne

Was anyone else witness to this "star's" awful behavior at Stagecoach? She got up there and told off the concert promoters because the VIP seats were so empty that she couldn't see anyone's eyeballs. I, for one, didn't pay for general admission so I could here her complain about the empty VIP seats. If I could have afforded it, I would have bought VIP seats and would have been close enough to see her eyeballs!!!

Well, as I've said before here, we only have the Eagles to thank for this. They are the losers who bought up all the reserved seats to sell for double the price and have it be all empty for the artists and bands that came before them.

I like their music, but hate their business. It is also part the fault of the promoters to allow this to happen. So, she has a point, but I wouldn't have voiced it like she did. She could have waited.

I was there and she behaved very badly. She could have made her point without reverting to vulgarity that's for sure. But what ticked me off was the fact that I paid $800 for my front row seat and did not appreciate the fact that she encouraged people who only paid $100-$195 for their seats to come and sit beside me in the front row cigarettes and drink in hand shouting "You, go girl." GAWD!

The seats were reserved not empty. Most of our group chose to stay in the ILAA party tent because it was almost 90 degrees out and they didn't frankly want to see some of the opening acts and some attendees could not get to the show until after 6:00 P.M. By the time the Eagles came on, every seat was filled and security had a hard time getting some of Shelby's unwelcomed guests to go back to their original seats delaying the Eagles in the process.

There was one young woman, who stood by me at the stage railing most of the night who was able to remain in the second row after security booted her out of the first row. She kept telling the security guard she lost her ticket. She didn't even have a reserved seat ticket by the looks of her.

Others were more crafty. They used their GoldCircle lanyards (for Sat/Sun) to bluff there way into empty GoldCircle Friday seats. I could tell they were interlopers because they didn't have an Eagles' lanyard and an ILAA Goody-bag like the rest of us.

Long story short, these people probably would have moved up anyway but Shelby Lynne paved the their way, so to say. Thanks Shelby for making our night more complicated than it needed to be.

I was at Shelby's performance with my 12 year old grand daughter. Needless, to say we left ASAP but I still had some explaining to do about her vulgar, anger filled "performance." The only thing I agreed with her about was her statement that she would never again perform at Stagecoach. AMEN! Lynne and the promoters of Stagecoach owe its paying customers an apology.

I so agree - too bad there isn't a way we could avoid her anywhereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee she might want to perform - her attitude was even worse then the Wreckers at Staples a few years back - uncalled for - absolutely uncalled for!!!! The tickets were sold - too bad she isn't good enough for people to want to get there early enough to see her - we walked around after her tirade - who the heck is she?????????~smile~pfffffffft on her!!!!!!!!!!

I had my 11 year old daughter with me and I was outraged. Karma is a B****, with any luck Ms. Shelby is just beginning the end of her career. I will never spend money on someone with that kind of attitude.

The promoters should have know her schtick before they hired her. If not, they didn't do their due diligence. Making this entire affair even worse is that Shelby lives in Rancho Mirage so she should be fully aware of the setup at Stagecoach (festival vs. reserved seating).

I missed her behavior but on the same subject something must be done about the seating and the way they just let almost anyone in. I paid a lot of money for my reserved seats there were a lot of people in there with no lanyard, wristband or tickets. The security staff didn't quite know who went were and it was really annoying and unfair that all those people that forked over the extra cash for better seats an "VIP" access( what a joke!).

WOW, I didn't go this year, but it sounds like you all had the same problem we did last year with security into the VIP/Gold Circle Area. Last year, we had Gold Circle seats and every time we got up to use the restroom, we had to come back to people with no VIP wristbands/Gold Circle lanyards in our seats. Same problems, different year Maybe next year security can get the memo of who should be where--Gold Circle lanyard--YES, VIP bracelet--YES, anything else--NO, that's not hard

People in the "cheap seats" are just as deserving as those that spend outrageous sums. I can assure you that the people in the reserved seats were drinking just like everyone else there. Your attitude is very elitist and doesn't speak well of your manners, sorry!

I'm just going to second what Sunkisses said, because I don't trust myself to respond otherwise. Just because I don't choose to spend the money on front row center seats doesn't mean I'm not capable of doing so and has absolutely nothing to do with my caliber or character.

Hmmm, I didn't get the "I'm better than you because I spent more money on my tickets" vibe from Carolynn's post. I think she was just saying that she was upset because someone who paid $100-$195 got to sit in the seats that she had to fork out $800 for. I'd be upset too! JMHO.

WELL, WHAT DO YA'LL THINK OF SOMEONE SITTING IN A SCOOTER BEHIND SEVERAL CHAIRS (THINKING THAT WAY I WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE SOMEWHAT) AND A 6'5" GUY IN A COWBOY HAT INCHED HIS WAY UP AND STOOD IN FRONT OF ME? NOW THAT IS WHAT I CONSIDER "LOW CLASS"

I think her behavior was vulgar!!! I don't care that there was no one in reserved section, the people in general admission are as deserving as reserved section and when you think about it and think about how much money they make off of everyone in general admission, with ticket prices, camping, beer, fees, etc... Everyone deserves a good show. She should have shut her mouth she got paid!!! Goldenvoice should fine her for her foul mouth. This is a family event. If we wanted this behavior we could have went to a rap concert with our kids! I didn't take mine but I am sure that everyone with a child was offended.

You in VIP? I don't understand how someone's height has anything to do with it. They paid the same as everyone else in GA or VIP and have just the same right to stand up and enjoy the music.

I'm sure glad I missed Shelby Lynne from what you are all saying. That's just not right. Only revenge we have is to not purchase her music or go see her shows. I'll stick by your words and do just that.

I've emailed a complaint about Shelby Lynne. Bet they get a lot of requests for refunds. When you look up white trash in the dictionary, her picture is there! I was appalled and disgusted. Someone should have been on stage and told her to stop that ridiculousness ASAP!

The woman said she sitting in handicapped scooter and some doofus stood in front of her like she wasn't even there. Only an idiot would do that and there sure were a lot of them there.

You can call me an elitist, snob or whatever you want to. People who have no point, generally resort to name-calling to justify the unjustifiable. In essence, they have no point. I paid $800 for my seat and they didn't. That's the point.
