Tent camping size of spaces!

IF anyone is there already are they being strict on the size of tent?? Mine is a bit bigger than they say, but I had that last year and they didn't have a problem so I'm not too worried

Yeah they were pretty lenient on the sizing. We used up only the space alotted, but our neighbors definitely went over and they didn't care. (they showed up with a HUGE tent for only 3 people, and thought that 3 8x8=24x24) all we could do is shake our heads lol. But I did feel a little gypped when they started letting people pitch tents in the shaded areas because of space issues
Overall, the camping situation was great, at least for those of us in tents. Really fun.

We had 5 spaces but then they didn't put anyone in front of us so we had an extra area for chairs and everything. Now if only the lights didn't stay on ALL night...

Yeah, and if they could designate areas by the type of camper you are, for instance, whether you are a 50 year old woman with a 13 year old daughter whom both enjoy a quiet nights sleep, rather then a twenty something in a gang of other twenty somethings who intend on partying all night right next door to you!

When we got back to camp on Sunday we discovered an upturned canopy had blown into our tent, ripped it wide open, had to pack up and head out at 1am. Not the best ending to an otherwise great weekend!

The lights, the wind, the ATVs....we were goin crazy down on our end. And we were sober to top it off!

Completely opposite end but the same row. I even asked the foot security how long they'd be riding down on those ATVs and they said they were Indio Police and it would be all night. They didn't lie.

No kidding they didn't lie. I felt sorry for the security that had to sit on those chairs alllll night long.

This is true! I swear we had our tents zipped up, ready to sleep, when I hear, LISA! You were your own TV show. I think Joey (the guy in the green tent) really missed you Monday morning.

You realize why they were like that Sunday don't you? There was an assault on Saturday night/Sunday morning in the wee hours.

We came back to our tent after B&R because little bit was too pooped to stay and play. The security seemed to be hovering around us and the two drunk chicks out dancing in the aisles in bikinis in that freezing wind!

I asked what the deal was and they told me they wanted to ensure a couple of enebriated (and therefore, possibly vulnerable) girls and a lady with her daughter stayed ok.

Kind of took away the irritation factor for me big time.

I was on this same row, there were a couple cop cars as well as an unmarked detective's car who came out. The detective was there for a while investigating, but I did not find out what actually happened.
