Amateur Radio Operators ???
Any Amateur Radio Operartors camping at Stagecoach? I was thinking that if there was, we might be able to give a heads-up to those arriving, on traffic or other issues that involve arrival (if you know what I mean).
We are planning on arriving first thing on thursday morning so we could give a simplex or repeater report.
Just a thought.......

Re: Amateur Radio Operators ???
what frequency will you be on?
Re: Amateur Radio Operators ???
What band do you think? UHF or VHF? I will be on Cal-Net, Snow Peak on 448.400 107.2 -. But we could set up a simplex like VHF 146.535
I'm open.

Re: Amateur Radio Operators ???
yea, slow down there big guy!!! I'm only a ham because my father was a huge nerd....sorry , ham guy and the family thought it would be nice to all get our licenses to support him. Now I am a closet nerd but have forgotten most of it since he passed. I sold all but one radio, let me go get it out of the trailer and see what frequency it is....I forgot!! I'm pretty sure VHF simplex will work. I know I don't have my dual band anymore. Also keeping it simple with simplex will keep me from having to relearn the radio. My Dad is rolling over in his grave I'm sure!

Oh Crap, I just saw you are from Moorpark, I am hoping you didn't know my Dad. You didn't belong to any radio clubs did you?
