SCMB - Meat N' Greet Taco Feed Potluck

I thought I would roll out the welcome mat and invite the SCMB’s over to our spot for a Taco Feed Thursday evening. Ive met some really cool people on this board and they are even more fun in person! This is what I’m thinkin… I will cook up a bunch of Chicken and Carne Asada, warm up some tortillas and set out all the fixings street taco style. Anyone who wants to come over can bring some chips, dips, or side dishes, and their own drink.

• 6pm Thursday – ED1 (hopefully center isle again)
• BYOB
• RSVP here on this thread – I will only cook as much as I see the need for (Lurkers need not show up, must be a SCMB Member)
• Indicate what you can bring so we don’t end up with 20 bags of chips. (beens, rice, dips, desserts, shots, etc. are all good ideas)
• Vegetarians and food allergy people... your fending for yourself. Please feel free to come and we can work something out.

One rule… For a free taco, you must introduce yourself to me with your SCMB handle so I can get to know you. This is the whole reason for me doing this, so I can meet you all.

We will have a few chairs and tables and hopefully plenty of space at the bar, but if you want to ensure you can sit down, I suggest you bring a chair. I will have a beer pong table set up and you can also try your chance to win a bottle of Patron Silver at the Ring Game (thanks to Festival Fan for the ring game, announcement to come on that later)

Look for the black and white Whiskey Tango flag and I will rock some 80s music startin at 6 (since we will hear enough country all weekend). You can also see my photo album 2010 for what my RV and trailer look like. (I will post a photo of the flag and set up when we get closer)

i will bring home made tres leches cupcakes! i'll plan on 2 dozen.

I will see you there. As stated before, I will bring chips and salsa! I can bring enough for like 20 people or so. How does that sound?

Sounds like a great idea. Andrea and I will bring dessert if that works. We will also bring some homemade salsa as well.

Should be fun.. I will try to keep track of people and what their brining right here for all to see. Raquelita, sounds like Greg/Andrea gots the salsa for your chips!

I'm in too (and count my BF and friend in as well, we'll be traveling together). I was ALSO gonna bring salsa, so I will think of something else...we're car camping so I can't really bring anything that needs to be heated, that's the only problem...any suggestions? I can bring lots of jello shots!

This sounds like so much fun! I'm unsure of what time we'll be getting in Thursday but I'm dying to meet everyone in person. Do you think you'll be hanging around the same spot for the evening? I think we'll be arriving around 6 or 7, so count me in (maybe fashionably late) and I'll bring some guacamole! Plus two friends (who are not huge eaters, more just drinkers).

Got it... I cant speak for anyone else, but im not going anywhere all night. (maybe a late night bike ride around the different campgrounds)

Just bring the cans of beans... I can warm them up.

Haha, lets both do it! There's no such thing as too much guac! Especially since it seems like the numbers are getting big. I'm thinking i'll need like 12 avos!

Im in :) I was looking in to the orange slice jello shots those look yummy I will bring some. And it's a party of 1 but a party none the less hehe ; )
