I'm hoping the lack of response is because they are working on it...

Any chance you guys will add regular tent camping in the same area it was the past few years since the "car camping" is not in the same spot??
I really want to tent camp and honestly my preference would be to do it without a hot metal object near me!
ya asked us ask questions here! when do ya think you can have an answer about GSP, caligirlUCR and my questions regarding camping?
What is the reason why they dont use the stick and balls lot this year? That is a nice piece of property thats perfect for more RV's. Was the owner not willing to rent it out? Is that where regular parking is going to be? What about the lot on the corner of madison and 50th for Stick and Balls this year?
I dont see how its not a money maker for the venue. (300+ RV sites) x ($500 per site) = $150,000 Subtract other stuff like rent on the property, more toilets, fencing, trash service, security, clean up, and insurance and its got to be still around $80-100k profit right? (plus that many more people in and around the festival buying food and drink) Just dont know why they wont open this lot up.
haha. now i remember this location... I kept thinking to myself where this was, but I figured it out :)..
Looks like S&B used to be where the car camping/rv entrance is now.

Thats a much better map of the area... But i think Lot 5 changed from Day parking to the Car Camping this year. The new map shows one giant parking lot for day parking along Ave 52, but we know thats not the case. Its actually like 10 little lots as shown in your pic. I think they should use (from your picture) lot 4A for stick and balls this year.
yeah. then they wouldnt they have to accomidate for the companion parking.. im sure it will be right there in 4A
There are many thousands more people that attend this festival now than in previous years. Regular day parking is a requirement.
More detailed maps will go up closer to the festival.
Is scaffolding allowed in camping areas (ED1&2, and car camping)?
I was thinking of setting up a 6' tall scaffold and stacking two tents to save on space. No rules against it. (yet)
How about tents on the roofs of RV's?
haha nice ^^^^
so was that a NO GO on adding stick n balls or More tent camping?
As funny as it may seem to have scaffolding and two tents ove each other... as a general contractor, it can be set up extreemly safely (handrails, toeboards, safety netting, etc.) Im not talking 30ft in the air, just 6ft (more like bunk beds for tents)
Maybe thats what i should build... A bunk house in the corner and wrap it in canvas. I just have to start thinking outside the box, because im going to have like 20 people staying in my 20x50 space because im the only one who scored a spot.
Yup, shidders gunna be full that weekend!
Now that tent camping is going on sale, what should those of us who bought car camping do if we'd prefer tent camping?
omg i'm staying car camping wth else are we supposed to do.
Tent camping is going on sale? where did you see this?
They sent an email. Tent camping goes on sale tomorrow morning at 10am. The spots are half the size of last year's and there 400 spots I think.
