2010 Kelly Beach Trip July 30th-Aug 1st

Ok guys, we have the dates set. July 30th - Aug 1st. Send me your email address ( chevgirl357@gmail.com ) and I will forward on the evite to you. Must book your spot by June 5th. Only $30 upfront ($15 for campspot, $15 for bus) and then another $15 for the 2nd night once you get there. Total trip $45 plus gas & food. Excited!!!!!!

How far away is the place? Like drivable after work?

Do they provide tubes or do we have to bring our own?

It's in Reedley and is about a 3-4 hour drive. Mapquest says it's 4 hours from my house in Costa Mesa, so I would guess that it's about 3 hours from yours?? Just mapquest Reedley. I'll probably request that Friday off of work now so I can drive up early and hang out in the river.

Camping on the grass along the river/lake. There are bathrooms, showers, bar, & restuarant so we're not roughing it. I will email the evite to you too.

Ok, I went through facebook and got more email addy's and emailed a lot of ya'll!

I mentioned this on the evite, but am not sure how much discussing is going to happen there, so thought I'd mention it here as well. The website says they sell tubes there, but I'm guessing there's a huge mark up on price there. Last year when I went tubing for Memorial Day, a bunch of us bought tubes together online and we got a huge discount for the group rate. Not sure we'll have as many people on this trip as we did then, but would people be interested in doing that?

I would be interested too.
This sounds like a fun adventure. I have to admit, my idea of camping is a hotel room or a fully stocked RV. looks I need some quick lessons in "real" camping!

I am not that outdoorsy of a person either, but for some reason end up on 2 or 3 camping trips a year. My best advice is to get really drunk the whole time, then you can tolerate anything the outdoors has to provide.
