Seriously disappointed...

I posted up several times about carpooling with someone to Stagecoach from San Diego and literally no one has reached out to help me. I am just shocked... I am going to Coachella the weekend prior and literally had tons of people reach out to help me.

I'm from Missouri and I'm working at the Stagecoach festival. I'm in college and I'm taking a bus down to California. I am staying in San Diego between festivals. I'd rather avoid paying for another bus ticket to Indio and rather just throw in on gas with someone heading into the area.

I need to be there on friday at a decent time, but I wouldn't mind going earlier. Is anyone going to reach out to offer?

I'm sure I speak for most of us San Diegans - our plans aren't totally firmed up yet and I'm not sure who has room in their cars for an extra person...

This board has some of the most wonderful and caring people you'll find - maybe we're all a little distracted and still trying to make our plans.

Traffic on the forum will pick up noticeably in the next week or so - by the week before the event, you won't be able to keep up!

Have faith - we'll get you there, one way or another ;)

Maybe you should check out the thread....leaving from SD for SC2010. People have already been talking about carpooling. I know nothing about SD (except the zoo and sea world) and I think they are taking about hooking up at Wally World parking lot. I sure hope you don't have one of those security jobs doing nothing but bitchin at folks....can I say kettle meet lid?

Don't tell me what I should/have to do. No offers? No offers. Find your own ride to work. I for one will not even consider taking a stranger in the car with my 13 year old daughter and I. Deal.

This was the part that confused me - if the Coachella peeps were all over volunteering to give her a ride, why would she need to buy ANOTHER bus ticket TO Indio???

And, yeah, one of those FIVE posts she made was in the SD to SC thread...so she knew about all the plans that were flying around :)

because stagecoach is another festival so she would need another way to it. she mentioned she was staying in san diego in between the festivals. probably the coachella people giving her a ride are not attending stagecoach

I understand all that :) I just don't understand the "another bus ticket to Indio" line - implying that she has already bought one bus ticket to go to Coachella....and if the Coachella peeps were falling all over themselves to help her out with a ride - why would she need to have bought a bus ticket in the first place?

I BELIEVE SHE TOOK A BUS TO SD FROM WHERE EVER IT WAS SHE IS FROM AND DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE TO TAKE ONE TO SC AND HAS ALREADY FOUND A RIDE TO COCHELLA

....and.... who's going to want to lend a helping hand to someone that bitches on first greeting. i sure as hell wouldn't. how long is that drive from SD to indio?!!! to be stuck in a car with a bitcher.. whew... sounds fun but most would pass!

This was not my first post, and I'm not being a bitch.

I bought a bus ticket to Indio from Missouri and people from the coachella are giving me a ride from the bus terminal and giving me a ride back to San Diego.

I have posted in the SD thread, but no one responded.

I am not saying I'm entitled or that anyone has to give me a ride because that isn't the case. My point in writing this is that I have heard nothing but nice things about the people that attend Stagecoach and have been assured I will enjoy my time off at the festival even though I will be attending alone. In the spirit of the festival, I don't understand why anyone with the capability wouldn't reach out to help. I'm asking for a ride from a place where you already live and I'm going to help pay for gas.
