Hi Lozz, What day are you leaving? We are taking off Thursday. You can catch an Amtrak train and get to us and catch a hitch to the festival. Unfortunately, it will only be one way since we are taking a few days off at a nearby rv campground after the festival to recupe . Don't know where you are heading next but maybe you can meet up with someone at the festival to catch another ride in the direction you are traveling. Hope you set up a place to stay, I know things are pretty booked up in the area. PM me if we can help you out.
Hi Lozz90 Welcome to So Cal. Spent 7 weeks on a honeymoon in your beautiful , friendly and gracious Australia and got to go to Tamword for the big country music festival. The year Slim Dusty died, and Sarah Storer did Raining on the Plains again. Wish we could get her here. At SC aside from the great entertainment you get at the concert itself there is another whole world of fun next door in the campgrounds. If you've ever been to Tamworth, then SC is like that. Instead of wandering the streets of Tamworth and stopping in front of Chemists, businesses and in Pubs to listen to the bands and entertainment, you wander the Campgrounds. Hope you are getting a chance to camp. If not, your festival ticket will get you into them. Wonderful, friendly open and crazy experience. Young or Old... People come in with their own bands, djs, etc. You know how they filled the streets of Tamworth with the largest line dance in the world ?.., the first night after the concert in campground in El Dorando II the whole length of the area between the rows of RVs (caravans) people were dancing. We would walk around and 3 rows over the same thing was happening. It was happening all over !! Great to be around so many happy people. It was our first time and we were knocked over by it.
