Once we enter the festival, are we allowed to leave to our campsite and get food, or must we stay in all day long?

Yes, you can...we went in and out a few times. That is the privilage of camping, but according to countrygurl you cant if you are just there for the day with no camping wrist bands.
Because my friend showed up about an hour after I got there last year I had to wait outside until he showed up because they would not have allowed me to give him his ticket...NO in's or out's no matter what. Not even to pass someone a ticket.

You can only go in and out if you have a camping wristband as well as a festival ticket. I bet you could have left it at will call and your friend could have picked it up and met you inside.

For the most part, there is no re-entry unless you are camping or have a festival ticket. There are special circumstances though, my friend "before" she came in did by far too much drinking and wasn't allowed in and she started throwing up and in fact, taken to the JFK hospital. Her mom left to the hospital and was allowed back in later that night.

She wasn't getting drunk with her mom. She was outside getting drunk with her friends before she came in, and her mom was already inside with us.

I can hear it now "um GS1, (looking all cutsie as she says this) I gotta go use the potty. I will be right back, I promise."
So...20 minutes passes...."Oh Hi GS1, I met the nicest people at the potty, and they are camped right over there, and they have a full cooler. Great drinks" (as she slurrs her words)
"you know what GS1, i gotta go potty again, i will be right back, I promise."

lol. *sneaky sneaky* There are those port-o-pottys remember? We'll just go to the p-o-p's together and wait for each other when we're done. lol
but no seriously i don't think she will drink heavily this year because she was so embarrassed last year and is scared to have alcohol poising this time too so she's a little scarred.

Yeah, thats what we all say, I know I feel like shit after last nights partying and I swear I will never drink again...but give me till noon today, and I am back tippin them.
i swear God, if you just get me thru this, i will NEVER drink again. hah!
i bet she'll do it different tho cuz she won't want to miss all the music again. learned that lesson... missed a whole concert of a band i loved cuz i drank too much. that's a pisser.

I felt so bad for her and her mama. While they both were at the hospital, they missed all of Sugarland, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, and almost didn't make it back for George Strait! And even when they were allowed back in, they totally looked like they weren't having any fun. :(
