How hot do you think it's going to be in Indio this year in the beginning of May?

Although I live in the Eastvale/Corona area, I do work out there off and on.

The weather is always beautiful, but tends to heat up, a dry heat...Last year I loved it but many complained it was too hot. We wore jeans, brushpoppers and boots and yes we were a bit warm but perfect when the sun went down. The next day we wore shorts with flip flops and our hats, mainly due to the blisters!!:D

Expect it to be a dry heat in the upper 80's to 90's

Just my experience and opinion which doesnt account for much;)

Hopefully cooler than last year. It was about 100-105.

Check this site out, it is gonna hit in the upper 90's this week then cool back down. Also be prepared, just in, for winds out there.

Nuts, you are nuts...it only hit 95 last year. I agree it felt that way due to the dry heat. Well thats what out temp gauge in the truck and trailer showed...

But hey, 95, 99, 101, 105...all the same at that point

What about at night? Does it cool down enought to sleep? Not that I'll be doing much sleeping ;-)

Kymery
04-08-2008, 09:32 AM
We never ran our A/c's at all. But it is all relevant to the person doing the judging.

Nights are perfect, you will sleep, or just drink another beer.

The nights were really nice. I thought it would get too cold so I brought clothes to change into after the sun went down but it wasn't necessary.

GW rider

So you wore no clothes after sundown ;-)

Kymery
04-08-2008, 09:52 AM
I think she meant the other way around, nothing before sundown...

Rose
04-08-2008, 09:52 AM
LOL

During the day I wore shorts, tank top and sandals.

For evening I brought Jeans, long sleeve shirt and cowboy boots.

Well, after midnight, everything looks good,

Bring a sweatshirt for the night if it gets windy, like it did last year. I was glad I had one! But when there was no wind it was real nice at night. Problem is, as soon as that sun comes up (6:30??) it gets blazin hot in your tent, and sleeping was not easy at that point.

Kymery

The Polo bar is open for Bloody Mary's and breakfast burritos. Talk about a Boody Mary bar! Oh...and then there's MY bar....

Yum, breakfast burritos! I think this camping idea was the best idea ever! Why did I stay in a hotel last year??

Kymery
04-08-2008, 04:52 PM
In my honest opinion, as wells as the hubbys, the burritos were not that good, they looked good though!

Broc, totally down man. Last year was pretty crazy, Im ready for a repeat, if not better. Festival, last year there were 4 of us. 3 30 packs, handle of jack, 2 of vodka and a huge thing of jager, and all were toasted by the end of the weekend

04-09-2008, 03:44 PM
kymery..I think we should make arrangements to camp next to eachother...our 2 campsites can make a great burrito bar and bloody mary's. I'm trying to figure out how many cases of beer we need??? ha ha

Kymery
04-09-2008, 04:30 PM
Festival...I think that would be so fun! but who said anything about cases, I am considering a KEG!! But...how would I hide that? Oh,,, oh,, I could replace one of my propane tanks with it!! hehehehehe

We went thru 4 18packs of mgd and 1 1/2 bottles of Kettle one, 4 New york steaks, 3 lbs of shrimp, and tons of chips and dip....just the two of us.

This year I am bringing the games!!

I guess we can always run to Ralphs down the street, or call my dad who is 3 blocks away for a liquor run!

If you can get 2-Trailers to camp together it makes it a bit easier. I go with my business partner so when we park we have our doors facing each other and our trailers just offset enough that we open our awnings all the way.

Bonus is that neither one of us has a genny exhaust pointed at us:D

Day or night, there is no time to worry about the heat because you have a drink by your side always and you are dancing to the music at one of the many stages and/or you are doing other fun stuff around the polo field, like riding the mechanical bull, test driving a tundra (if your sober he he), and other stuff!!

But it does get quite hot lol ;)
