Just an FYI....

One of the biggest mistakes I made last year was to wear "cute" shoes to the festival (sandals & boots). I had blisters on my feet for a good month afterward. There was quite of a hike from where we parked to the festival and then walking from stage to stage to stage to squeeze all the performances in and then hiking back to the car and the end of the night times 2 days. This year will be 3 days worth of walking and I plan on wearing the most supportative and comfortable shoes I can find.

ok...so tell me, what shoes do you suggest?? There goes the boots and sandals...are you thinking flip flops? tennies? any suggestions would help us first timers.

I'm thinking a good pair of tennis shoes with a really good pair of socks. Looking kewl was not worth it. Flip flops would probably rub in between your toes too much???

I wore flip-flops and all was good, well, my feet got dirty but I don't mind. For me, it was too hot for anything involving socks!!

I'm w/ you HTAngel -- I wore (and will wear again this year) flip flops, got plenty dirty, and just hosed off from the knees down at the end of the night!

I saw a lot of people regretting their choice of footwear last year -- it's a long trek to & from the parking lot, and a lot of walking/standing during the day.

Phew, so it wasn't me who attracted all that dirt on my feet!!

I wore my ropers the first day...silver dollar blisters and I lived in my boots!! So I opted for the flip flops the next couple days, and they were great! I think tennies would of been too hot.

i did fiip flops ok last year too... i think the key is choosing ones you already know are comfy, and if possible, the rubbery kind that clean up easily. but every girl needs to get a little dirty sometimes! ; )

Depends on your definition of "DIRTY"

I wore flip flops too...well on one foot. My other had a walking boot since I just had foot surgery. I was quite the trooper. My feet weren't all that was dirty. By the time we got back to the hotel I was covered in dust and grime. Taking a shower didn't help much since we were covered in dirt again in the morning. That's why I'm staying in the campground and camping! Might as well get the full experience!

I wore boots the first day and was okay but then switched to DANSKO clogs. I know they sound awful but they are the MOST comfortable shoes you will ever wear. I wore them all through Europe and had no problems too. Massage therapists and nurses wear them....anyone on their feet a lot

And they sort of look like boots with jeans. :)

Also, don't wear WHITE!!! (unless you don't mind throwing it out)I know this thread is about footwear, but just a warning: that Stagecoach dirt did NOT come out of my favorite white tanktop!!!! And bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping........totally off topic....sorry...:D

I wore tennis shoes with ankle socks last year...but gonna stick with flip-flops I think this year. The tennies were a little on the hot side - and my socks were pretty darn gross by the end of the night. Easy-to-clean flip-flops would be my suggestion as well!
