I was going to camp in international due to kiddos but my parents MIGHT fly out and babysit. Which allows us to party. So I want to stay in El Dorado 2? This is the place to party right? Can I get electrical hookups in ED2? Electrical hookups cost $100, right? Are there extra costs involved when you bring your camper early? I heard on the radio that you can start camping as early as Wednesday but on this forum I'm reading it's Thursday?
If I can't get electrical hookups, what's the rule concerning generators? Is there a time that you have to turn those noisy things off? If I buy one of those really quiet honda generators, can I run it all night?
Apologies in advance for asking already answered questions.

Hi,
Hmmmm. a little help from our friends would be nice, isnt that what this site is for?
I will try to help with some of your answers from my experience last year. No, there are not any electrical hookups in ED2, yes this will be more of a party area, later curfew type idea.
You mention buying a generator, so I can assume you dont have one in your RV already, so it will have to sit outside. Those are pretty loud and unless all your neighbors are passed out drunk, I would suggest you dont run it at night. Note that the RV's are pretty well packed in, we had 3' between the back sides of ours, but we also had probably 20' on our door side between the next one so we had "lounging area" So not sure where you would put an outside generator. We were pretty packed that our neighbors door facing us and us, could not open our awnings all the way, and that sucked a bit, so we opened them till they touched and ducked.
We had neighbors run their inside built one all night, and it was right next to our pop out bedroom wall but not bad due to the muffled sound of beeing built in.
Unless it is an unbearable night heat (and the nights are beautiful out here) or a freezing night (yea right) then you wont need to run it all night anyway.
No costs in bringing it early, and yes, you can get there on Weds afternoon/eve this year. I have heard that on our stations also.
Awesome to get a sitter! They will have fun just camping.

Thanks! I agree those things can be loud, but we are considering buying a honda which is very quiet, they say about the same as a small car. Amazing! They are EXPENSIVE though. I don't expect to need the generator at night b/c you are right, nights are nice out here (I live in Hemet). But the days can be brutally hot so I really think I will need a generator, since I'm down right spoiled! I was wondering about the hours just in case I wanna watch TV or something later in the evenings. Not that I plan to do much of that mind you! But you can't even make a pot of coffee using the battery power unless you have one that works on 12 volts, and I don't.
So, I do think I'm going to stay in ED2, that's where you will be Kimery? I plan to get there Wed night just so I can beat the crowd and set up easily. Then Thurs I can relax, play my guitar, eat junk and drink beer... all that fun stuff you do when you aren't partying you rear end off! Maybe I'll go buy some ear muffs or something, in case I plan to sleep at night! HAHA

Yes, I plan on ED2 also!! I would love to hear you play. I used to and my son is learning the guitar, that would be fun. I promise you will have a blast no matter what. If you need coffee, let me know, I will be making plenty to get me thru the weekend. hehehehe
Hey, you dont need ear muffs...you just need more to drink!:D

Sweet T,
The Honda EU2000 generators are quiet- no problem there
Problem may be with it having enough power for your AC unit. Some of the RV AC units take quite a bit of 'lectric juice to get them started:)
