Hopefully this might help someone.....my email is with gmail and it automatically combines emails from the same sender with the same subject....so my "upgrade" email was combined with the "announcement" email...as in it didn't show up seperately in my inbox....infact I only came across it by accident when I was getting concerned that I hadn't received the "upgrade" email so I went back to open the "announcement" email to re-read the details and found that there were 2 emails there and one turned out to be my "upgrade" email. It also didn't help that the two emails LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME until you scroll down past the picture of the Eagles....
So hope that helps even one person. If not call up Ticketmaster and give'em hell. They deserve it. :p

Hey GV, I would think you guys would be a bit more organized and clear with all this ticket/camping/RV confusion. It's not rocket science...you're supposed to be top notch esp withall these years organizing Coachella....looks like a bunch of rookies are running this....RIDICULOUS.

considering camping was expanded to 4 area's this year and takes an army to run and this is only our second year and first one with the 4 area's I think we are doing the best we can and improving as we go. you can talk to thousands of people who had a great time last year. this board is full of negative nancy's. we are trying.

Well I was one of those people who had a most excellent time last year!!:D It's not the festival itself or even the camping that is an issue. That's all good, and impressive, I might add. I just find it amazing that GV can't make the ticket purchasing part less of a nightmare!!! All it takes is some common sense. Sounds like quite a few folks are getting screwed and I was screwed last year AND this year! In fact if I hadn't already paid or could get my $$ back, I wouldn't be going. I have never experienced something that could be so simple be so complicated. And that GV won't make good when something gets screwed up because of HOW THEY WORDED IT ON THEIR WEBSITE THEN CHANGE IT AFTER THE FACT:mad: ....and the people who are spending their hard-earned cash get screwed over....not a way to keep customers....

Amen to that...I just don't get people sometimes. This is the second year and I am sure it's just going to be better. Your doing a great job! :)

Well, technically it is NOT the second year since these are the SAME PEOPLE that have been putting on Coachella for something like 9 years (I know they don't get RVs but still, its not that different ticket sales wise)....so you would think they could figure out how to word things so people get the right tickets and don't get screwed. REPEAT: I am not in anyway complaing about the festival itself or even the camping (both are AWESOME and amazingly well organized!!), just that trying to get all the right tickets and passes and such is so fricking convoluted. That's all. I am sure they don't pay you nearly enough to listen to all of us bitch CountryGirl, but thanks! I don't mean to shoot the messenger!:o

I do have to agree with honkytonkangel. Ticketing is really the only complication. Every other aspect of Stagecoach is awesome! We had a blast last year and I'm sure we'll have an even better time this year. With the amount of ticketing questions/confusions going on, I think the people at GV might have a better idea about how to handle next years ticketing. Thanks Countrygirl for your prompt responses to all of our questions :)

So Golden Voice doesn't do Coachella then?? The people organizing the ticket sales for Stagecoach are only doing this for the second time ever? I am not even trying to be a sarcastic smartass or complainer right now. Just trying to understand. So please don't take this as any sort of personal attack on you CountryGurl.
My understanding is Golden Voice has done Coachella for however many years its been going on and now do Stagecoach this year and last. So selling tickets to these two festivals is really so different that it leads to all these problems?? I guess I just thought GV's experience putting on Coachella would apply to putting together Stagecoach. And this what I can't understand and gets my panties all in a bundle.:o

we do try.

I know you all are working hard with all the recent event changes and I'm sure you're relaying to the "big wigs" at GV the issues that we're presenting to you. I do see improvements since last year (more campgrounds, Gold Circle seating changes, tram service, etc., all of which were dilemma's last year), so I know you guys are trying :)

Coachella is as screwed up as Stagecoach is this year, except Stagecoach has the Eagles. Coachella has Jack Johnson. Coachella is not going to sell out like last year - GV took single day tix off Ticketmaster after just a couple days, then they screwed around with the poster, etc etc. At least Stagecoach now has single day tix. Stagecoach & Coachella & the new festival in New Jersey - they are all in it together.

I don't see what people are complaining about. Most people that post on message boards are just negative people in general. They think they finally have a place to complain and it makes them feel good or something.

CountryGurl - We appreciate all your hard work. Sh*t happens. You do the best you can. Don't let the cranky ones dominate just cuz they're the loudest.... Us happy ones are out here and in force - we just aren't as loud. I, for one, am happy there is a Stagecoach at all and will get there any way I can, any way you want to put it on.

Who's blaming CountryGurl?? This isn't her fault. Unfortunately she has to listen to it though. (I hope they pay you enuf ;) )
And if you don't voice your complaints/concerns how does anything ever get changed?
Infact I love Stagecoach and would hate to see it go away because it starts costing too much (I think its a bargain but others disagree) or because people get screwed out of $$ or tickets due to a confusing, convoluted ticket purchasing process that could EASILY be fixed! (which hasn't happened since last year)

Couldn't agree more.... it's all in the way you "voice". There are a few out there that just can't articulate what they need without getting crappy about it. If you've read around the boards, I'm sure you've seen them.

Countrygurl is a screen name used by the spokes person for Goldenvoice. Go to www.goldenvoice.com and look at the size of this company. I have always assumed that these are competent people, at the top of their field with extensive experience. My frustration has been that they seem not to care. Not a big surprise from a large Corporation. These message boards are provided for us to use. If you think people have been rude or disrespectful you should look at the Coachella boards. If I have been rude, I apologize. I do believe it is possible to get your point across without being rude. I do find it harder to do in 100 words or less. If you go to www.goldenvoice.com you will see that they provide “The Ultimate Fan Experience”.
