Does anyone else think that the new pricing is outrageous? I had a blast last year and would go back for sure if it was not going to cost me $350 a person for the concerts and camping! A little disapointed!

Insane. I am trying my best to talk my husband into spending all this money. It's going to be a helluva good time, no doubt, but everytime you look, they tack on another fee to the already highly inflated prices! Trying to figure it all out is like finding a needle in a haystack too. Why don't they just charge X dollars to camp for crying out loud?! There's an RV fee, a towing vehicle fee, a camping fee per person, an electrical hook up fee... did I miss anything?

No Sweet T, you did not miss anything, and I am having the same issues as you. We still have not even bought our camping tickets, prices just real high and working on budgeting it in, IF we can. It makes me sad that it is so high as a base price for a family to attend. $350 may come easy to some, and thats not including food, drinks and fuel to get there and back.
Strange that if you just drive, it is free parking, awesome they charge camping fees, but all the extras are the hard part to swallow.
Hold on to your seats....this is gonna be a bumpy ride.

sweet t, many of us have said the same thing about the prices, fees and misc charges. hang on!!!.. you may get BASHED by senior members who accuse us of whining about the fees. LOL! Don't worry though they have pretty much been squished.!! Many
people have noticed extra service charges, per person fees, and even ticketmaster fees that can add up. In addition, keep in mind the re entry rules which varies for those who are camping and those who are day guests. the per camper fee, $50, is in addition to the camping site fee, but it's actually a purchase of a wrist band to allow re entry during the day. I raised the issue of allowing re entry for the day folks and really got an earful of nonsense remarks. As I write this there is some investigation into that re entry "rule".
I have found so many really nice and helpful people in this forum with great suggestions and ideas. this will undoubtedly be a fun event. the question is how do we let the event planners and promoters know the fees are what is creating the difficulty?

Haha!!! Love it.
You know what else is really expensive....Mercedes Benz, oh and a mansion overlooking the ocean.....can someone please do something about the cost of those so I can afford them?? Its outrageous!!;) ;)
My point is, this is a CONCERT.....a LUXURY if you will and if you can't afford it then don't go. I am not saying this to be mean, cruel or a bitch, and in no way am I even remotely rich (next year I most likely won't be able to afford Stagecoach), its just that like most things, the price will go as high as the market will bear. The only way to bring it down is if people don't go. Simple as that. And it sucks because even though when you do the math it is a good deal (for the concert part anyways..it can add up if you include camping) it is a lot of money to come up with at one time, ESPECIALLY if you are trying to go as a family. But everyone arguing that the prices should come down might as well walk into a Mercedes dealership and demand the price come down on their cars...
See what I am tryin to say?? Not saying its right, cuz it really sucks.

I hear ya...
but if you're going to compare a concert with buying a car....well, keep in mind the BUYER does have leverage to negotiate. AND when buyers stop purchasing cars, the dealers and auto plants close their doors.
I never said I couldn't afford the festival. I raised the questions about fees, and charges.
some of you need to relax....and chill out...

Awww, this IS a message board, don't let people sitting behind a computer screen frighten you! Bottom line is, it's human nature to complain. And if you have enough money in the bank that these prices don't scare you a little, can I be your friend? HAHA
Just kiddin! We CAN afford this, it's just are we WILLING to spend this much money on three nights? Me? Yes, I want to do it. I feel that Stagecoach festival is going to be one of the most fun things I've ever done and that my husband and I will only regret if we DON'T go. BUT he's a saver and a planner, and the expense is hard to swallow.
I read somewhere that they can accomodate twice the amount of people that they expect to show up. My thoughts are, if you were to lower the prices and cut back on the excessive add on charges, you might get even more people to show up!
That's a double edged sword though, since I certainly ain't buyin' those gold circle tickets, I should be thankful that the place won't reach max capacity.
Y'all can get pissy with me if you want, cuz I know that when I meet you at Stagecoach, we are all going to have a BLAST, and noone's going to be worried about what was said on this messageboard!
